They say everything in this world is constant except change. Things change, people change, thoughts change, attitudes change and even love changes, but no one can define real change. Is it that things change from the outside, or is it something that changes us? I feel from my own life experience that even though everything remains the same, something changes inside us that changes the course of our life; it is called transformation. However, often such changes become very painful and even unbearable. When life takes away all hope and all reason for living, there is a transformation that somehow finds a purpose to move forward, and people change through that transformation.

We have always been very close to each other as a family; even though we cannot claim to be a perfect or happy family, some bonds still bind us together for a certain period. Our sister was a highly qualified doctor by profession and highly educated, with extra intelligence and many talents; she was someone whose life was full.

We have always observed religious rites and rituals as a family; all expressed deep interest. As there are more aspects of religious Faith, we have always tried to stay with this Faith. "Faith" is a hard feeling that is experimental. But you know, losing Faith is more straightforward than living with Faith.

One knows the result of an exam only after the result is out, so Faith also has to be proved by its outcome. My sister is the inspiration and lifeline of our family. She had a tremendous circle of friends, which is a great thing to look forward to in her life.

We should believe that a family is a potent place and a space of trust that is essential for a person's growth and development. It is an important life support system that one should have. It is more about the love and responsibility that a person feels apart from the blood relation to each other. So my sister was deeply connected to us, in our hearts. She has always been by our side through all the trials, joys, and sorrows we have gone through. She always supported us and encouraged us in every possible way.

But sadly, good things are temporary, and even her love and affection for us did not last forever. She fought like a brave warrior for five long years when we lost her from cancer three years ago. Even in her last days, she struggled very hard to survive, but she failed; her body gave up.

I will never forget her tears during those painful days in the hospital. Actually, things don't change, it's basically our attitude toward them that changes over time, and that's what "change" is all about.
