The first time I saw the word Scholarships when I started playing some play2earn games, I was kind of confused because I really don't know what it was and I had to look more into it, many do love to play a certain game but the purchasing power is no where to be found and the only open option is to find someone to sponsor them and that is where scholarship do come in from people with extra funds to control more accounts and this is one vital way of helping newbies but to join a scholar isn't an easy task because they have lot of things to consider, at a point you have to give them more reason whey you are the one fit for the scholarship and not someone else. There are lot of things to put in place and the major of it is your reputation and your skills, when it come to reputation, that always depend on your contribution to their community since you might be under watch for sometime, some will have to make more research about you, know you will because handling the account is very crucial.
The major part is your skills and your knowledge which need to be tested, taking splinterlands as a case study before applying for scholarship that I view as the dos and things you need to do at first.
Your Account
First thing first, you need to own your own account because with that you will get access to some certain things, this is an act of showing interest in the game to me and many others, this also give you some insight on things you need access to, you need to study the game at first, know what the whole splinterland is all about especially the FAQ section
Know Your Cards this part is one of the crucial part, knowing your monster cards and their summoners, unlike before, we now have different cards set to have more knowledge on and that alone is very hard, stressful and easy to remember, the fact that the ranked battle got split into modern and wild somehow made it easier if only you are a modern play but wild format is very complex to some extent, one thing about the cards are their speed, strength, armour, health and abilities. Till now the abilities bothered me a lot because it is very complex to even remember at some point, I had to read them over and over again using splintercards
The Meta And Your Strategy I think this is where the main work is, having full knowledge about the game rulesets and building your strategy through that, the rulesets aren't that much but they really matters especially when combined, you need to know which cards and abilities will favour you the most in certain rulesets, for instance I love using magic cards but I do make sure I use some debuffs abilities that can at least weaken my opponents cards, it is always a plus 1 if you have different abilities for different rules because it doesn't really last for long, you should make sure you check out the Top battles section, it really help a lot by watch top players battle and get to know how certain ruleset is been played, it is also advisable to broaden your collections perhaps or have the most use cards in the top battle section. Right now, summoners like Eternal Tofu is the one reigning currently in battles not consisting magic cards, that summoner is fire and a must have
Possible Don't
Even after perfecting your ways through the splinterverse, there are things that you shouldn't be doing, scholarship is like a duty and it need to be carried out diligently, Never For Once Neglect Your Duty, we always have 15 days in a season and those time really matter a lot especially if you have a target to meet, failing to meet that target might start bringing negative effect on your credit score, there are always others waiting in line. Also one thing that is really common is trying to Compare Yourself with other players, it do feel like a spirit sometimes, there are times I do get defeat in battles even in streaks and I will be like what am I not doing that other players are doing, is not like I'm that bad or something, that defeat spirit and playing at that point will always give you the 3rd don't Break Your Streaks. Account Managers will always login to check our your gameplay, see if you are winning and worth keep or just losing every battles, if your win ratio is higher than your loss then you are worth keeping. Most times when you feel your spirit isn't willing to play, at that point just find other things to do or try to cool off, there are life outside splinterlands, only play when the spirit are motivated to play.
