From the very beginning of the human history, Gender is always considering as a contested term. Even in this So called Modern era, we are still debating with ourselves who is more powerful than others. Regarding this contested situation, someone get Misogyny, who actually the “Haters of Woman”. This misogyny nature is more dominant in our political arena. Here politics and its arena shows us a mirror where male characteristics are considering as fruitful way of advancing political goals. And unfortunately women rule or the womanistic characteristics are diminishing. So a question will be arising what do we know about this womanistic characteristics! actually different scholars of international politics, specifically realist theorists saw women are charming, emotional, caring, verbal, cooperative and mostly depended upon a man, which implies some bad characteristics for a leader. As we know leader have to be rationalistic, calculative, dominated, powerful, aggressive and always ready for war. And if a woman become a leader of a state then she must have to obtain all of these manliness characteristics which I already mentioned above. If we look into the political structure of India, at the time of Indira Gandhi era where you can see, she was a pessimistic leader as she was the lady who guided its scientist to build Nuclear weapon. And India got its first nuclear power from that time. Considering the World’s power politics, nuclear weapon carries added extra prestigious value.
Then I wanna include an exceptional case regarding the success story of any Woman leaders. Recently a news become viral which is New Zealand announced that this country is totally free from COVID-19. Everyone shearing that news and admiring her ruling system, even I also did it but it’s not a good thing! . As I did realise that this news became viral just because of that lady ruler, Because I knew that some of the country like Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Gaza etc. are ruling by male leaders also working on this issue and they are quite successful! … but see we don’t even know that… So I think we should more careful about this sexism in politics. A gendered political system must have to be avoided.
