🥇 ❗THE GATHERING❗

Hey hey hey - How are we, everyone. Exhausting week for sure, but hopefully we will all get a chance to recharge during the weekend. Have you just arrived from some leave/vacation? Let us sneak peek at any posts or photos of those amazing moments. It's always nice to see those inspirational moments.

In this gathering, we are going to change the workflow of the Pub slightly. This will be experimental and we would love some feedback on it... so don't be shy! And to complement/enhance the future gathering we are moving the announcement of the "every gathering #NFT 🎈 giveaway" to the next gathering, so all that new visitors can check who won the last one.

Motivation

Usually, Pub visitors come mostly during the weekend when either they have time or "maybe" because when the Pub opens they know they can check all the new stuff, and that's fine, but it defeats a bit the initial purpose of this being a Pub. Which is being a place available during the entire 7 days of the curation period. Hence we are going to try something new to see if it helps.

New Workflow

During this gathering, the content provided at post time can be further updated at any time until we reach the next gathering day. This does not mean you will always find nothing interesting to read on the first day or hours of the gathering, but that situation can be possible. The idea is trifold:

Allow the Pub to open more regularly at always the same time (let's try for now 9PM NZT) via a schedule (without human intervention) - yes, we bought a little bunny bot to open the door for us LOL
Make the "7-day" period more appealing to read at ANY time. Since some of you will check in to see if there are any updates, comments, etc.
Make the Fridays of @forykw a bit more relaxing! 🤣😅 - most of the time he enjoys doing it, but some days is a huge challenge!

This might or might not affect the curation value a bit, but long-term thinking we don't think that's going to be an issue. If it is, we adapt again. Plus, it might actually generate more content over time, because sometimes content only makes sense on a specific date interval, and if not released, it loses interest.

A reminder that the main focus is Experience... and that should be something the visitors feel always tempted to check and find entertaining new reasons to check the Pub. Although, if this doesn't work out, let us know, as we are all up to try new things and improve, hopefully.

Hence, this will be it, for now, and further updates will come in this (🥇 ❗THE GATHERING❗) section as always, at a random time of this gathering.

Crypto-Shots are LIVE!

You can now purchase the Starter Pack and play it! @forykw already played it a couple of times... and he claims that is becoming something super cool. Still lots to come but the core value is there... and if you try the HARD mode, good luck!

With your Starter Pack you get access to a Base Gun, Base Ammo, and a Base Character that will give you a 30 minute time period to play per day with a maximum of 5 minutes per game session. During that time limit, you can die and start new games until the daily limit expires. While you are not playing the timer does not elapse (even if you already played 20 seconds for example).

You will then be able to kill some enemies, and the more you kill, the more BOOM (token on WAX, via account https://wax.bloks.io/csboomcsboom) you will be able to claim.

Note: This game is already using some features of the HIVE blockchain but it will be integrated further in the forthcoming roadmap. For more information read the whitepaper.

HiveAuth is Live!

These are exciting times. This new project from @arcange team has finally been released! The amazing project (supported by this proposal) enables a whole new experience while interacting with HIVE dapps, and all this while maintaining the core principles of security from this platform.

Familiar with HIVE Keychain for mobile?

@stooodkev team already implemented this and you can start taking advantage of it as soon any dapps implement it.

The important takeaway from these new developments is that users can now use their phones (private and personal) to process HIVE broadcast/requests with their keys on other devices (PCs, tablets, etc) without the requirement of installing HIVE KeyChain and importing your keys into it, on every device you use.

Any dapps implementing this method of authentication will likely benefit from a higher user adoption due to its increased dynamic.

It's also important to state that the need to have your keys in more places might greatly reduce, improving users' overall security (mistakes happen to everyone - who didn't paste a password on a chat by mistake?).

PeakD New Look

We could not go without mentioning the new improved look of @peakd along with the many features released. We will go through some of them below:

It got a much "visual" appealing look in our view. Plus it implemented a couple of important features that enhance the overall user and even witnesses experience.

Integration with HiveAuth

The Pub already tested this integration and it worked amazingly! Please take into consideration that this is the first release and adaptation to the real-world scalability might be something to fine-tune yet. Although, from what the Pub could test, it's working flawlessly until now.

Checking the post history

You can now check the Pub gatherings changes (history) on peakd. This is a format (the Pub one) being tested during this gathering and it might continue on the next one (details above).

Sharing PeakD Drafts with other users 🙏

This will be something the Pub will explore since it helps with the decentralization effort of these gatherings. More will be proposed at the next gathering. But if there are any interested parties in exploring this, please do share any articles you would like to publish or provide the Pub with that kind of information.
