Hello, hello friends photography lovers, it is a pleasure to greet you wishing you an excellent week together with your loved ones, this is my entry for the phone photo contest moderated by @untilwelearn, we are already in the 50th week of this contest and I am happy to participate in this initiative where the main objective is to take pictures with the phone; on a recent visit to the beach I took the opportunity to walk and take a tour of the coastal area, my plan was to see the shacks or huts that are located on the shore of the beach, these huts are intended to protect the boats, also serve as a shelter or roof when you are on the beach, if you go to eat or want to rest a little; I was struck by the number of huts of different designs and materials that are located along the coast of this beach located in the sector El Peñon in the city of Cumana, is a beautiful beach ideal for the family to enjoy the weekends and when you prefer to go, as it has service restaurants, lodging among others, and if you want to buy fresh fish this is the right place where you can buy them at affordable prices.
Hola, hola amigos amantes de la fotografía, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos, esta es mi entrada para el concurso de fotografía telefónica moderado por @untilwelearn, ya estamos en la semana 50 de este concurso y me siento feliz de participar en esta iniciativa donde elobjetivo principal es tomar fotos con el teléfono; en una reciente visita a la playa aproveché para caminar y hacer un recorrido por la zona costera, mi plan era conocer las chozas o enramadas que se ubican en la orilla de la playa, estas chozas tienen como finalidad proteger los botes, además sirven como zona de refugio o techo cuando estás en la playa, si vas a comer o quieres descansar un poco; me llamó la atención la cantidad de chozas de diferentes diseños y materiales que se ubican a lo largo de la costa de esta playa ubicada en el sector El Peñón en la ciudad de Cumaná, es una playa hermosa ideal para que la familia disfrute los fines de semana y cuando prefieras ir, ya que cuenta con servicio de restaurantes, hospedajes entre otros , y si de comprar pescado fresco se trata este es el lugar indicado donde se pueden adquirir a precios accesibles.
The huts, as I already mentioned have varied designs and an excellent location, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the beach and the breeze while tasting a delicious dish, very close to these huts are also located some tables made of wood and concrete, ideal to place the utensils and play dominoes or cards, the location of the huts I loved, The location of the huts I loved, because from there you have a spectacular view of the landscape, in the company of my son we made a tour from the first restaurant to the last hut located a few meters from the hill, it was fun and relaxing to walk in the sand watching in detail each hut, besides wood and palm some had concrete walls and columns, the roof is regularly made of palm and wood.
I found it very curious to see palm roofs on concrete walls and to satisfy my curiosity I went to talk to a fisherman who was repairing the nets to fish the next day, he is a very friendly and talkative man with many stories to tell of his experiences at sea, besides explaining me why the palm roofs, he told some stories of his trips to fish, the branches on the roof are to cool the hut, in the city the heat is intense and this is a way to combat it, He also explained that living near the beach requires certain “tricks” of survival, which also apply when going fishing, the first thing is to observe the sea and the sun, if there is a lot of wind and the sea is choppy, it is not a good sign to go out, added to the yellowish color of the sun and the color of the sky when it is not quite blue and becomes grayish, this point seemed interesting to me, because ancestral knowledge remains in force, after a long talk with the man, I thanked him for his time and information and continued the tour.
Las chozas, como ya lo mencioné tienen variados diseños y una excelente ubicación, que permite disfrutar la hermosa vista de la playa y la brisa mientras degustas un delicioso platillo, muy cerca de estas chozas se ubican también algunas mesas hechas de madera y concreto, ideales colocar los utensilios y jugar dominó o cartas, la ubicación de las cozas me encantó, pues desde allí tienes una espectacular vista del paisaje, en compañía de hijo hicimos un recorrido desde el primer restaurante, hasta la última choza ubicada a pocos metros del cerro, fue divertido y relajante caminar en la arena observando con detalle cada choza, además de madera y palma algunas tenían paredes y columnas de concreto, el techo regularmente es de palma y madera.
Me pareció muy curioso ver techos de palma en paredes de concreto y para saciar mi curiosidad me acerqué a conversar con un pescador que estaba reparando las redes para pescar el día siguiente, es un señor conversador y muy amable con muchas historias por contar de sus vivencias en el mar, además de explicarme el por qué de los techos de palma, contó algunas historias de sus viajes a pescar, las ramas en el techo son para refrescar la choza, en la ciudad el calor es intenso y esta es una forma de combatirlo, además explicó que vivir cerca de la playa requiere ciertos "trucos" de supervivencia, que también aplican al momento de salir a pescar, lo primero es observar el mar y el sol, si hay mucho viento y el mar está picado, no es buena señal para salir, sumado al color amarillento del sol y el color del cielo cuando no es del todo azul y se torna grisáceo, este punto me pareció interesante, pues los conocimientos ancestrales se mantienen vigentes, luego de una larga charla con el señor, le agradecí por su tiempo e información y seguí el recorrido.
As I advanced, my thoughts were trapped in the tips of the kind fisherman to go on his journey, in fact for several minutes I was watching the sea trying to see at least one of the elements he mentioned, but I saw none heh, heh this caused me to laugh, I was playing to know the sea and it was a failed attempt, it is impossible to compare the experience and knowledge of the gentleman who has many years fishing with my visits to the beach, whose purpose is to relax, walk, swim and observe the landscape that I like so much.
When we reached the end of the tour I sat under a tree to contemplate the immensity of the sea and enjoy the breeze, I could not believe that in less time than I imagined we had completed the walk in the Marina de el Peñón street, in the afternoon we returned home, and on the way back I looked for the gentleman but he was not there.
Mientras avanzaba, mis pensamientos estaban atrapados en los tips del amable pescador para salir a su jornada, de hecho durante varios minutos estuve observando el mar intentando ver al menos uno de los elementos que mencionó, pero vi ninguno je, je esto me causó risa, estaba jugando a conocer el mar y fue un intento fallido, es imposible comparar la experiencia y conocimientos del señor quien tiene muchos años pescando con mis visitas a la playa, cuya finalidad es relajarme, caminar, bañarme y observar el paisaje que tanto me gusta.
Al llegar al final del recorrido me senté debajo de un árbol a contemplar la inmensidad del mar y disfrutar la brisa, no podía creer que en menos tiempo del que imaginé habíamos completado la caminata en la calle la Marina de el Peñón, en horas de la tarde volvimos a casa, ya de regreso busqué al señor pero no estaba.
