It is 11 June and this is an important date for me! 4 years ago today, I gave birth to the most animated person I know. He is my secondborn, Micah.
Before Micah turned 4, his dad and I realized that he is going through some mental leap and transition. He started expressing his emotions much stronger, and emotions of all kinds. He has become more assertive and knows what he wants. He will tell us how he wants things to be done and gets frustrated if we do not understand him. These are really new milestones for him.
I remember asking him one day, "Micah is it difficult turning 4 years old?" He nodded as I carried him in my embrace after a meltdown and cry. So I shall always remember this scene that it is not an easy transition for him.
Micah is one of the funniest person I have encountered, almost like a cartoon character walking out of an animation. He speaks very cheerfully and funnily. He wishes me Happy Mother's Day every other day. He laughs heartily at things and people too. He loves to show all sorts of expressions on his face. He likes to pose for me to take photos and he asks for us to take photos of him.
He is affectionate and he loves to sneak kisses on me, his brother and daddy. He loves all 4 of us tp stick together. He loves cats. He sometimes tells us he is George Pig or pretends to be a baby cat. He tells me a lot and usually before his sleep that he wants to snuggle with me. He shows love, anger and frustration in great measure. Sometimes when he is angry, he doesn't let me touch or comfort him. Sometimes, he talks with us about his emotions agter he calms down and can laugh about them.
He likes to think with his finger tapping his chin. Then suddenly, he says, Aha! I HAVE A GREAT IDEA! I can literally see a light bulb being lit up in his eyes. So interesting and so funny.
So today we celebrate him! Massively!!
He knows it is his birthday so he woke up with a great mood. He loves his Number Blocks, colours and George Pig so our celebrations circle around these.
Grandma and Grandpa bought him some colourful blocks and alphabets as well as number puzzle mat to be played at their house.
My sisters bought him a number 7 and my church friend's bought him number 4 from Number Blocks. He was thrilled and carried them to church and in church.
I got him some cupcakes and a bento cake with Number Block characters as the cake toppers too.
His church aunties @josephinengpy7 and @michelleloh168 got him colourful macarons that he so enjoyed and just look at the many sides of his happy faces.
His aunt @iamjadeline and uncle and cousins got him his Number Blocks shirt and printed out Peppa Pig drawings for him to colour to which he coloured to his heart's content before nap.
Another church aunt got him some Peppa Pig charts.
My mum and dad got him a pair of new running shoes with colourful colours too. Ooh I think he loves them!
His church friend drew him characters from Paw Patrol.
I prepared some pasta and food to celebrate im church with his friends. The birthday boy and his brother made some pizzas for their friends from home.
He loved it and still telling me that Everyone came to sing birthday song to me! He has this very pleased grin the whole time!
I can tell he had a very wonderful birthday celebration today. His face showed it all. Everything is worth it!
The happiest birthday boy turned 4! Yes he is extremely this happy!!! Love him and the joy he brings! ❤️
Almost everyone says he is my look alike, having the same faces. His daddy says that almost everyday about him. He is the funniest and most animated person I know, as if he walks out from a cartoon animation. He now shows all sorts of expressions when he is asked to take photos and he too likes to ask us take photos of him! Maybe he has my face and resembles me, but he is very cheeky like his daddy, taking after him in personality. He is willful and strong, he knows what he wants. He corrects us a lot now and he shows affections anytime, anywhere unexpectedly. He sings super happily in car pool karaoke with all his favorite children worship songs. He dances and he makes other dance with him. He cries and expresses his anger and frustration the hardest but his joy is contagious!!!
I cannot be prouder having him as my son, such a privilege that gives me. I don't just love Micah, I like Micah very much! Happy 4 years old, to the one I gave birth to but he enhances life for me! With Micah, there is surprise everyday because he is that interesting and full of life!
I want to remember how you are now, turning 4 and being 4! Bless you my boy with God's life and destiny for you. Thank you for being you!

Micah is a great name. He is one of the prophet in the Bible. On the other hand, your Micha is good great boy for you and family. Happy birthday to him and may God will give him more years to celebrate with you all.
