Ended 2022 with gratitude to the people that mattered

in Feel Good2 years ago

I know we're 1.5 months into 2023 but I like to do reflections and have thoughts about things that mattered. I ended 2022 feeling so much love, acceptance and finally being able to hope again. It's hard to put into words the things I had to go through but what I would like to share are the key individuals who went through this journey with me. Sharing here what I posted on my social media at the end of 2022 with so much gratitude.

Post 1

A post to remember and give thanks for a year, 2022, full of interesting happenings, hurdles and challenges that I never expected or could ever be prepared for.

As the year is coming to an end, I'm looking back at every step and journey taken through the year and I'm filled with so much thanksgiving for His love and faithfulness.

There were many times, it was just lifting up my hands to heaven in praise and worship when I did not know what else I could do, many times just raising my hallelujah when I did not know what to expect, many times just raising my voice when I felt silenced... And always remembering to show up when it mattered.

2022, was a year of many firsts personally in many areas. A year of many mysteries that cannot be answered but it always reminds me to have my gaze on Him and Him alone.

2022, a year I discovered the importance of being vulnerable and that vulnerability is not weakness but strength that lies deep in character.

2022, a year where I understand more about the importance of trusting those God has placed close to your heart & life who would go through the thick, thin, ugly, sad, dark, heavy, good, and fun times without judgment but with pure love, care, support, and prayers.

All in all, 2022 is God's faithfulness at work through the unseen and I am ultimately grateful for His goodness that chases me, His love that endures forever, and His steadfastness.

Thank you, 2022. You've taught me so much ♥️🔥🌈

Beginning my thanksgiving in giving acknowledgment to the people that mattered through 2022.

I find it very beautiful how God orchestrated our friendship this year. Knowing you the past 12-13 years is incomparable with what we've gone through this year.

@michelleloh168 You've been such a rock, a "shoulder to lean on" (a bit short for me 🤣), a joy (so much laughter & lameness 🤪), and a very reliable person. Your heart for Him is such an inspiration, your pursuit for Him and Him alone is so admirable and your worship goes without saying.

Your presence without a doubt has brought a lot of healing, clarity, and openness to me in many ways, I cannot describe. Your precious time spent with me chatting and digging deep on the sofa, in car rides, & on road trips are so precious only you would know the sacredness of it all.

This is an open gratitude to you and a post to remember 2022 and what we've gone through together. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for the "it's okays", the "let's gooo", the "breathe & deep breaths" and the "He's got your back". Thank you for being so real and so genuine. I'm indebted. You're an amazing person inside and out. Love you lots ♥️ and like you've got my back, I've got yours too 🫰🏼☺️

@iamjadeline The first person I know when I came to this corner of Kuala Lumpur, 19 years later our bond is stronger through so many happenings, and incidences all these years.

You've been like an elder sister that I never had. The look we give each other without words but we understand exactly what it means is priceless and unexplainable.

Your never-ending encouragements, assurances and consolations to a broken and wounded heart is so deep and I can first hand testify to how amazing you are.

The timing of when we have quality time together (albeit so limited and scarce), is always God-sent and planned that brings such refreshing to my soul and spirit. Your tenacity and perseverance through different journies in life is very admirable, inspiring and empowering.

Since the first time I saw you led worship in cellgroup with the song "Deeply In Love" I knew your love for Jesus was deep and unshakable. I'll always look up to you because that's who you are to me (of course as we look to Jesus together 😉).

This is a thank you post dedicated to you, as I commemorate a very unusual and interesting year, 2022. Thank you for all the "I love yous" and big sister advices through 2022. You have one of the biggest hearts (and ears), for always checking in on me and always eager to know what God has spoken and is doing in my life.

You're priceless and I'm ultimately grateful for you. I love you so much ❤️ and thank you for always having my back! You know I've got yours too 🌈

@happycrazycon Lai Lee Joo! Where do I even begin. MSN Messenger to online Scrabbles through many different happenings (ups and downs, good and bad) till where we are today. You've always been such a genuine soul that I admire and am grateful for. One who is always thinking and considering others above self, and one who has the biggest heart for people you love and care for.

Your straightforwardness and unfiltered words in what you say from your heart is something I treasure the most. You've been such a consistent person in your beliefs and practice, especially when it comes to processing emotions and being in line with what God wants albeit the challenges and difficulties faced.

Your generosity is abounding, not only materially but with your love, care and heart. You make me feel that I am not alone in this journey, your assurances and encouragements know no bounds. Your spontaneity in going into prayer and just reminding me of what God says in His words and promises is very refreshing.

Your vulnerability, openness, and worship to God without any reservations is very beautiful and a delight not only to Him but to the people around you.

You have been such a rock throughout almost 2 decades of our friendship which I treasure so much and here's a dedicated post for you especially for 2022 on how amazing of a friend you are, accompanying me through text at any time of the day, with no judgment. You're a gem and I am very grateful. Love you so much ❤️ and thank you for always being with me 🫰🏼😁

PS: too bad we do not have too many recent photos together of the past few years after looking through my camera roll. So here are some that I have! haha...

In conclusion, these were the 3 amazing, strong, and reliable women who were with me through one of the toughest periods in my life and I am ultimately very grateful for their love, support, time, and understanding. Words cannot describe the neverending encouragement and prayer that they have given. Thank you ladies. Love you all!
