Wrapping up the year with cheer - Merry Christmas

in Feel Good9 days ago

Christmas is a time to rekindle hopes and relive happiness with joyful carols, brightly wrapped gifts, and festive foods. Christmas is a time to reflect on the importance of harmony and understanding. Christmas hymns, carols, and stories promote peace and unity. Christians celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus Christ, the son of God. The Roman Catholic Church chose December 25 to mark Jesus' birthday, but the exact date of his birth is unknown. However, Indians are pretty aware to celebrate the ocassion.

I visited one of my friends home in evening to find the drawing area was lit up with the above Christmas tree. A very common decoration item. These are not the real tree, but we have plenty of artificial tree available in the market. These were made up of plastic material, still bit expensive as per local standard. But those who knows how to make most of the ocassion, they simply get them at any price. As I was crossing the local market, there were many such trees kept at the roadside.

Many people are not aware of the fact that, Christmas in India is known as Bada Din, which means "big day". It is a major day of celebration for many people, regardless of their religious background. According to some, 25 December was a day of celebration in Rome, where people would give each other gifts. Over time, the celebration grew larger, and the day became known as "Bada Din". Public holidays is observed on this day. Many goes out for short trips or enjoy with family. I went to the market with my friend and her mom. We ate some street delicies.

It was a good celebration, however I was missing something. During my outing I did not met any Santa. Santa Claus is considered important during Christmas because he embodies the spirit of giving and joy associated with the holiday, particularly for children, by representing a magical figure who delivers presents on Christmas Eve. Santa is a symbol of the festive cheer and excitement surrounding Christmas gift-giving. Looking for him all arpund, I ended up with a little sketch of the joyous figure.

I am running short on my colours. So a sketch is happy playground after a long time. I have my ongoing Term-3 assesment , which keeps the celebration very tight. But it was enough to bring some cheers and getting a much needed festival vibes.

Make most of the good times
