Phone Photography #42: Our Wednesday Morning Walk (Disney-themed Park)

in Feel Good4 days ago

Hello friends!
Good morning from this side of the world (The Philippines). This post is my entry for this week's @untilwelearn's Phonography Challenge.

One of my goals this year is to continue exercising, and hopefully, I can continue going for a walk at least once a week. To do that, I set Wednesday as a day for walking. I arranged my work schedule in a way that I'll take the whole morning off and just start my classes in the afternoon.

Since the Philippines is hot, it's better to go for a walk early in the morning.

It was still dark when we went out at around 5:30 AM. Our destination this time is our City Hall's park. Our park was beautifully decorated with Disney-themed Christmas decor. We didn't go there during the Christmas season though because it's very crowded. But, the decorations are still there. :)

We arrived at the city hall at 6 AM. It was still very calm since it was still early... but some fruit and vegetable vendors were already displaying their products already. Unfortunately, though, it started drizzling when we arrived.

When we got to the park, the decorations were still put up, so I took photos of them... under the light rain. hahaha

There were so many Disney characters and princesses. They're so cute to see. I couldn't really walk around or jog a lot because of the rain. I wanted to exercise more, but the weather didn't allow me to do so.

My father and our new adopted furbaby Max just stayed in one of the tents.

Max is the newest addition to our family. His previous owner couldn't continue taking care of him, so he's with us now... from last night. He's so skinny that it's sad to see, but we'll do our best to take care of him and make him feel better and more loved.

My mom (@arashi0416) will probably blog about Max soon, so please check it out on her blog.

We decided to head home when the rain calmed down a little... and when we were on our way out of the park, my father pointed at something... it's the sunrise!

It was so pretty to see the sun peeking through the trees in the park. I hope the next time we go, it won't be rainy so we could enjoy going around the park more.

We decided to ride an e-bike home because it may rain again... and our house is still almost 30 minutes away on foot. Max enjoyed our morning walk.

He and our furbaby Arashi are still trying to get to know each other. They are still very curious about each other, so we're trying to get them to get used to each other gradually. I hope they'll be good friends... and even brothers in the future. Maybe then, we could go for a walk together with Arashi and mom, too.

It felt good going out despite the rain... :) I hope to do so again next time. For now, I'll rest a bit because I still have to work until the evening. I have to work harder since I have two furbabies now. hahaha

Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/

When the weather is hot, the rain brings a different wave of happiness. On return, the sun was brightening up to tell you that this day is going to be awesome one. :) Congratulations on the new member in the family. From now on, it will also remind you to go for a walk every morning. :D

That sounds lovely and I have to agree with you... :) Thank you so much... ^^
Another reason to keep ourselves healthy! :D
Have a nice day! (^^,)/

I think I am late to wish good day... So, have a nice evening and a wonderful next day! :)

It's never too late for that... But thanks!!! 😁✨

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day

Joining the Wednesday Walk motivates me to achieve my goal of going for a walk at least once a week. :) It's a nice change of pace. :D Have a good one, too! ^^

👍🙂👍

Yaaayy.. you know what, I have my morning walk on Wednesday (yesterday) too.. and it's drizzling when we start at 7.am and it stops at 8.30.

I think Max must be happy playing in the rain soon😆. It's quite attractive to have Disney themed decorations in front of the city hall, something which will never be around our city halls in any city in Indonesia.

That's cute indeed! Nice shots and Good 🤞 🍀

Really? Typical for SEA countries. hahaha

That would be awesome, but I hope he won't jump in puddles. lol
Yeah... they change the theme every Christmas... :) It's quite common in the Philippines, so a lot of city halls or municipalities do the same thing... and some even have competitions. :)

Thank you! :D

Yes, exactly the same in Indonesia, but only during the independence day or soccer world cup 🤣🤣 the villages will try their best to support any countries involved in the final and decorate their village entrance and every visible corners. The winner will be the country that won the championship. If there's a tie, sometimes they share the prizes.

We're ASEAN after all, we have a lot in common

Hahaha... That sounds fun!!! These friendly competitions are so enjoyable to witness!!

That's right... 🤩🥰✨
