I'm aiming to post one of these each Sunday. They aren't a replacement for the excellent daily prompts from @worldbuilding they're just an extra opportunity if you have a writing itch you want to scratch. 😀

The prompt this week is - Bells
Bells have been used by people ever since metal was first invented. Temple and church bells to call the faithful to prayer or to sound the alarm when raiders approach, bells on ships to tell the time, sleigh bells, town criers bells, the bells carried by lepers and plague victims to warn off those who approach too closely, even the humble bell on a pushbike.
Tell me a story from your setting about bells ! What sort of bells were they ? Was there anything special about their properties or the way they were made ? Who rang them and why ? What effect did it have ?
Just to add a bit of spice to things, the two entries I most like (and are linked in comments to this post, so I can find them !) that are posted by midnight (GMT) next Saturday will each get a prize of one Hive SBI.
