The Tavern of Whiteleaf - The "Shimmering Oak Grove"

The Shimmering Oak Grove is the heart of Whiteleaf, a place of refuge, hope and community. Within the walls of the old town hall, people find not only shelter, but also the inspiration and courage to continue building their town and exploring the secrets of their surroundings. Elara ensures that the tavern remains a lively meeting place where stories are told, plans are made and friendships are forged.

The Shimmering Oak Grove is the only tavern left in Whiteleaf. It is centrally located in the old town hall, an impressive building made of white stone and wood that survived the fire. The architecture exudes history and permanence. High ceilings, large windows and ornate carvings characterize the tavern. Inside, pictures, historical maps and artifacts from the time before the Great Fire hang on the walls, including old weapons, tools and scrolls. These decorations tell the story of the town and also serve as inspiration. Small reminders of this time can be found everywhere, such as candlesticks that still bear traces of soot or the names and messages of those who found refuge here carved into the wooden planks. These relics serve as a constant reminder of the determination and will to survive of the inhabitants of Whiteleaf.

The heavy wooden doors and massive pillars give the tavern a majestic atmosphere. The tavern is richly furnished with white wooden furniture that reflects the light of the dust. The tables and chairs are sturdy but ornate, with patterns reminiscent of the leaves and branches of white trees.

The Shimmering Oak Grove is more than just a tavern; it is a symbol. A symbol of hope and cohesion for the people of Whiteleaf. Here the villagers come together to share stories, make plans and support each other. There is a community room where meetings and parties are held, as well as private alcoves where confidential conversations can take place. The old town hall has many secrets. There are hidden rooms and secret corridors. These rooms are now mostly unused, but some have been converted into private meeting places for conspiracies and secret deals.

Part of the tavern houses a small library and archive of books and documents recording the history of Whiteleaf and the events of the Great Burn. This collection is carefully maintained and is available to all who seek to unravel the mysteries of the shimmering dust and white trees. Here you will find old diaries, maps and records that can provide valuable clues.
