WOO NFT Leveling - Have I enough Cards to Max Them Out
Hey Guys,
I am starting today with a weekly column featuring the upcoming Hive Blockchain game Wrestling Organization Online, abbreviated as WOO (inspired by the legendary exclamation of Wrestling Legend Ric Flair).
Time is slowly becoming pressing, as WOO, as a project, celebrated its one-year anniversary a few weeks ago, and I haven't written a proper article about it yet.
The game is set to go live in the third quarter, barring any unforeseen issues, and since I invested in the project (Raven Sale, the second pre-sale after the Perry Saturn Sale that I unfortunately missed), the team led by @Bookerman has adhered to and exceeded all deadlines.
If I read my calendar correctly, we have entered the third quarter. At most 6 to 7 weeks, we will have a functional game that we can unleash our wrestlers into.
@tobias-g as the head developer has delivered fantastic work so far. The WOO website is visually appealing, fast, and serves as a one-stop shop for everything you want to do within the game.
There's a portal for card opening, the marketplace where you can buy cards if you couldn't get your hands on any Alpha packs; then your own collection tab; a tab for airdrops; another for mining (now finished), and for staking.
As we are getting closer to the game's release and I find myself running out of time.
After the pre-sales which burned a huge hole in my pocket, I've been passively waiting around and not planning ahead.
That's why today, I want to focus on the NFT leveling of my wrestlers and managers.
On April 14th of this year, @Wrestorgonline published the article NFT Leveling Coming to WOO.
In this article, the tables were released, outlining how many cards are needed for each level and rarity. There are differences for both wrestlers and managers, as well as for Gold Belts and Silver Belts. You can think of this similarly to Gold Foil and Normal Foil in Splinterlands.
I have transformed the tables to use colors for Common (Gray), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Golden).
Here are my tables. The data comes directly from the article linked above, in case you want to verify something.
Continuing from that, I created tables for my Silver and Gold Belt wrestlers and managers, so that I can see exactly how many cards I need until reaching the highest level.
As you can see, I have an affinity for data, which might be a bit overwhelming at times. However, I believe that with this game, it's worthwhile to be attentive right from the start and have a thorough understanding of all the details in the game.
At the very least, one should be well aware of the status of their own cards. Before NFT Leveling on the Website goes live, I need to know which cards I still have to purchase in order to maximize everything, except for the Perry Saturn promo card.
I absolutely can't afford 11 cards at around $100 each. However, I do intend to eventually maximize all the other Silver Belts over time.
Alpha Silver Belt Cards Owned Wrestler
As you can see are the common Wrestlers pretty common :o). I have plenty of them after buying 254 Alphapacks in the Raven Sale and a few hundred in the Alphasale a couple months back (The legendary sale, which not even lasted a minute. We had to have pretty quick trigger fingers and fortunately mine was forged in the times of old, when gamers had to click a button a hundred times in specific arcade games or early console games.
Back to the cards.
All Common Cards are at the highest level (Level 3) with 101 cards required. So, I can relax in this aspect. I've created a First Set of wrestlers/managers for myself and my game plans, a second set, and a third set for the rest of the cards. All Common Cards have both a fully leveled First Set and a second Set. For the third set, only Level 1 and Level 2 cards remain.
Fortunately, I've also managed to maximize all the Rares. I'll conduct more detailed analyses in another article, as well as for the Epics that I can also play at the highest level.
However, I'm missing a few Legendary wrestlers. Both Upper Management and Mad Mike are not complete, and I completely lack Perry Saturn. All the others are fully maximized.
I am especially „proud“ of my 14 Raven cards, as they indicate to me, that I for once was very early in a game and an investment opportunity for that matter. I hope, Raven, Ida Mae, and the Reward wrestlers will have a big impact, even if I don’t max out Upper Management and Mad Mike.
Silver Belt Manager Cards Owned
For the Silver Belt managers, things are looking similarly good, but there are gaps here as well. Each rarity level has only one manager, except for the Legendary category, where there are two. The famous (yes, legendary) Sonny Onoo, one of the official partners of the game, has been immortalized by WOO, as well as the reward card and mascot of our sister community Hive Pizza, the Pizza Baron.
I have maxed out Ivan Schiester (Common) as well as Paulie Savage (Rare) and the Pizza Baron (Legendary). However, I haven't reached the highest level for Sheila Bellerose (Epic) and Sonny Onoo (Legendary). I’ll bleed heavily for those two later I presume, as managers are more expensive on the market than wrestlers.
What's noteworthy for me today is that the Common Manager is even fully maximized twice. So, I can send him into the game at the highest level twice and still have 13 cards left.
I'll either rent these out when the feature is available or buy 33 more cards to bring him to Level 2.
It's also nice that I only need two more Level 6 cards for a second Pizza Baron. However, in the coming weeks, I will probably focus more on maxing out Sheila Bellerose and Sonny Onoo.
Gold Belt Wrestler Cards Owned
As expected, Gold Belts are a teenie tiny bit rarer.
Luckily, you also don't need to blend a lot of cards to reach the maximum level. However, in the Gold Belt League (or mode or whatever comes with Gold Belts), I have only 3 Common Cards (Fontana Family, Ivanka Semenov, and The O’Malley’s) that can play at the highest level.
Surprisingly, things are better with Rares. I've managed to fully level up three out of five wrestlers (Enrique Alvaro, Mushk Sheik, and Karen Smith).
And with Chase Martin, I even have an Epic Gold Belt card at the maximum level (fortunately, requiring only a single card).
I'm missing all the other Gold Belt cards, and I'll probably continue to miss them for all eternity unless I'm lucky with opening my remaining packs, which I actually intend to sell at a good time.
I won't be buying any Gold Belt cards on the market, though. They are just too expensive for me.
Gold Belt Manager Cards Owned
Unfortunately, I can keep this section quite short, as I wasn't fortunate enough to draw a Gold Belt manager card from all my packs.
Here, too, I'm hoping for a stroke of luck one more time.
Maxed-out Cards
With that, I have 33 wrestlers and managers at their respective highest levels. If you add all the duplicates for the second set, it's even 46 fully maximized cards.
I'm definitely not at the top of the cardholders, but I should be somewhere in the upper third. At least, that's what I hope for.
- 23 out of 26 Silver Belt Wrestlers (35 if you count duplicates)
- 3 out of 5 Silver Belt Manager (4 if you count duplicates)
- 7 out of 26 Gold Belt Wrestlers (3 Common, 3 Rares, 1 Epic)
- 0 out of 5 Gold Belt Manager
That's it for now with my card analysis. Next, I'll venture into the card market and calculate how much more I would need to invest to at least have all the Silver Belt cards complete.
Prepare well for the game. The card market is already heating up, as a few new players have joined and triggered the initial rush for the remaining cards.
This game is going to be a hit. You still have a tremendous chance to build a deck for the game, which, in my opinion, will surpass Splinterlands or at least be on par with Hive's flagship game.

Great write-up!
It's always nice to see the collections of others :D
You really have an awesome collection, about the Perry, I'm in the same boat as you. Don't have a single one neither.. :(
Thank you very much :)
I still have a little bit of hope to at least get my hands on one Perry when the game is live and we earn tokens or I can trade 3 Raven cards for 3 Perry's. That'd be awesome :).
!PIZZA
I tried to swap a raven for a perry in the past aswell, it didn't work out.
If you look at the numbers, Perry is more rare aswell (in terms of drop chanches) and I think I would.consider him better with the current available information.
!PIZZA
That would be disappointing but in some way, I will have a Perry :O).
I am preparing #WOOGame
Great :).
Well done! nice and usefull post
Thank you.

I think you're pretty set to dominate the game once it launches proper. 😱 !PIZZA #WOOGAME
I'm not sure about that, when I see the millions of WOO and literally thousands of packs from other users ^^.
But I hope to at least competitive.
