Hello people~ So as promised yesterday, I'm writing about this new software I've started to use.
So this software is called Gopaint. It's a Huawei exclusive drawing tool that started development some time in the 2nd quarter of 2024 and up til now is still undergoing constant modification and updates top better their user experience. At a glance, it actually has the same feels as procreate and I do think it was modeled after it a little too because it has a bit of resemblance to it.
Then if you saw my blog yesterday about my anthromorph woolitz, that's where I showed the interface. It has such a clean iterface, not many interference to the drawing process and it's just very simple lay out.
It has such a wide selection of brushes and even the basic brushes in itself can be customized according to what you need so it's very convenient and very customizable. No doubt this fits into every artist's needs. It certainly has fit mine. But I haven't customized any brushes yet. I just tried to see what I could do with just the brushes itself. I might explore customizing soon though. Maybe when I try to pull of weird art like the ones phillipsue makes since he customize his brushes a lot.
Then cool thing here is that it can have a lot of layers without the lag. But me, being me, I stick to a single layer. You can animate in it though and I want to try learning that one day. So maybe slowly, I will look that up on YouTube. So far, Gopaint lacks educational videos for me to base off but I'm definitely having fun learning it as I go.
Maybe soon, I can do a video of the app and on my animating journey with it when I learn to maximize the ap better. But right now, I will prioritize learning how to draw on it better, cleaner too.
But with how fluid it is with my hand, I'm kind of tempted to try doing messy art I see on TikTok a lot.
