This is the truth about war generally, and Ukraine specifically. War is a money laundering operation that takes money from wagies and provides it to rentiers that own stock in defense contractors so they can make money from their money. That's what rentier means. A boomer that owns a second home is using their wages earned from their lifetime of wage slavery to create a retirement income from renting out that home they invested their wages in. As we age we become less able to do the laborious work we get wages for, so pensions, and the boomer's rental property, are means of providing necessary income when we get too old to work. If you don't have a pension from a career, then owning some stocks, bonds, or rental property is a way to create a retirement income, and if you don't have any of that, then some Western countries provide some welfare dole.
Lots of countries don't, or such pension or welfare mechanisms aren't at all reliable, and being dependent of such is all but a guarantee you'll be reduced to begging on the street - or starvation.
Defense contractor owners, the investor class generally, rentiers, aren't investing their hard earned wages, but vast fortunes they inherited, or derived from some highly profitable venture, like any of the black market industries, or volatile commodities investments, like BTC. They include famous families, like Rothschild, Rockefeller, Bush, and Wallenberg, and generally could live off their fortunes for the rest of their lives without any profitable investments, at least at budgets ordinary people have. They don't need the money that taxpayers are robbed of by governments. They certainly aren't paying rents for displaced Ukrainians, or buying food for homeless babushkas.
They're profiting from making the weapons that displace Ukrainians, or render babushkas homeless. This is why I do not support the war in the Ukraine, because I don't want to pay to destroy the lives of Ukrainians.
