Here's the quick version.

Luke 23: 39-43

But the other criminal rebuked him. 'Don’t you fear God,' he said, 'since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.' Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' Jesus answered him, 'Truly I tell you, today I will be with me in paradise.'"

If I could go back to anywhere and anytime in history, I'd want to go back to that day that take the place of the criminal on the cross.

No other person in history has been told by Jesus personally that they are going to paradise. I'd happily take up that sinners cross and follow Jesus through that horrible moment for a lifetime in paradise.

I'm sure I'd make a better post for 500 words but if I had to choose any historical time or event to take place in that would be it.

As for a title:

"Would you bet your life...."

But I have to go to work so have to miss out on this one :(

Hmmmm, I totally understand you.
