Mini Fridge Wins and Okonomiyaki Mornings

in Earn, Spend, Give2 months ago

Some days just feel a little brighter than others. Today started with that kind of energy-a stillness of an early morning while hearing the occassional chirpings of the neighbors love birds, gives that calm energy in the air.

Just two more things to make my morning complete-a coffee and a good hearty yet comforting breakfast. So I decided to whip up okonomiyaki, a savory Japanese pancake I’ve always loved.

Making okonomiyaki is an easy process. Shredding fresh cabbage, whisking together the batter, and layering it with flavorful toppings like mayonnaise or an okonomiyaki sauce. Today I decided to make my own version of okonomiyaki sauce. I decided to combine a tablespoon of oyster sauce and a good amount of sweet chili sauce and put some sesame seeds as toppings and viola, a sweet tangy sauce that made my breakfast complete.

But the day just started and there's another item that I wanted to check when I wake up. It's the mini fridge that arrived yesterday.

At 5000 pesos I have a useful item that can be used in the room or even at the kitchen.

Arrived yesterday afternoon and as I read the manual (very important to do so), it says we must turn it on after 3 hours. And after waiting, we already tried if its working well. Stuffed a few items in there and left it alone for the evening.

Checking it now and seeing how it works well made me satisfied with it.

And of course, I used the Power Meter Monitor that @terganftp suggested to make the new appliance experience complete.

Overall happy with how the day started. Cooking a meal from scratch, unboxing something new it's nice to reflect how nice things have been recently.

I hope you have a great day too. Thanks for reading and until next post.
