For my entry into #blockchainphoto #BeachWednesday, I would like to introduce you to the tantalising Tathra Beach located on the Far South Coast of NSW, with pristine beaches, rivers, lakes and wilderness, Tathra is jam packed full of fun in the sun, surf and sand, all year round, so check out the #pinmapple link to see exactly where it is.
With a huge thanks to @uwelang who was brilliant enough to create the continuation of this great contest- the #BlockChainPhoto #beachWednesday 17th edition, I would like to share one of my favourite beaches on earth- the tiny town of Tathra Beach.
At just 1600 people- which is now much more populated when I was growing up there...this is where I spent most of my time when I was growing up- whether it was camping holidays with my family and friends, days out at the beach with my friends or nights out at the Tathra Hotel, which back then was aptly named 'the raging centre of the Far South Coast
The main beach of Tathra stretches for what seems like miles, where when you reach the end, you reach the mouth of the Bega River which flows out into the bay, after leisurely floating around in the many lakes first.
With crystal clear water, completely lacking in all human debris, is is the perfect place to swim, surf, dive, sail, kitesurf- and that's just on the water.
The surrounding area is full of pristine, lush vegetation, where there are numerous pathed bike paths and mountain biking paths that take you around to some of the most intriguing and historic sites around the area.
From the famed Tathra Wharf, built in 1862 and continuing its colourful history today, all the way to Gold mining era Vimmy Ridge and beyond, Tathra is the perfect destination to base yourself, as it it central to so many other untouched beaches, lakes, rivers around the area, aswell as untamed forests full of native Australian flora and fauna.
Tathra really is the best destination for a holiday for the whole family and it was an absolutely brilliant place to grow up too!

@hiveaustralia, formerly @teamaustralia check us out now!
(cause we're all such damn cool cats...😁
Blue skies, water and sand for days. Plus an abundance of pelicans for the barbeque What more can you ask for. xD
Por Quoi?
Pelicans ON the BBQ???? 😱
But yes, that's the area that I grew up in...Big sharks but no Piranhas..🤔...
I bet they taste like chicken.
Haaaa ha ha...
Doesn't everything taste like chicken...
I miss chicken but I don't really miss chicken but I miss my chickens!
cool! @tanjakolader doesn't want chickens in the yard, because of the smell. The neighbors would probably complain anyway.
What smell?
I was right in the centre of suburbia and by law we're allowed to have 4 chooks, but there was no smell.
I also had 2 cats too. Holy crap it was funny watching them all- especially when Louise- The blonde used to chase Snowy- the other blonde...around the backyard..
All the neighbours used to leave bags of food for them and I would hand around their eggs as I never used to eat their eggs- that just felt wayyyy to weird...plus eggs make me fart wayyy to much...🤣😬
Animals are funny, but out of all of them that I have had over the years, Thelma and Louise were the most entertaining. They were freakin hilarious!
People here (neighbors) are easily bothered by the fowl smell (pun intended).
Not a cat person, but I do enjoy their shenanigans, so I can only imagine. xD
Great names!

Wow awesome thanks so much @visionaer3003, really appreciate the support and it is an amazing place to camp.
One day I'll even get the old camping photos scanned and post them up here so you can see what fun we had back then on the 70's and 80's camping there!
My dad was a truckdriver and so we're all of the dads of the family friedns that we camped with and they ere all such Aussie larakins, so I'm sure that you can imagine some of the antics that they had and the weird bikes and other transports that they engineered for us kids around the caravan park on even on the water...
They used to get big truck tyre tubes and tow us on them behind the boats...fun FUN times... 🤣

What could be better than spending time in that beautiful beach. Have a great week ahead @chociscorpipro
Absolutely @dodovietnam, the whole area of that coastline is truly amazing as there are so many extraordinary natural wonders there for all interests, all ages and abilities.
It was seriously the best play to grow up and believe it or not, but the snow fields are only a 90minute drive away up into the mountains aswell!
I really hope that you get a chance to come and visit one day and you are always welcome to stay at my place and I can give you personalised tours and send you in the right direction to see the places of the beaten path.
Thank you and I hope that you have a wonderful week too!
