In the journey of life we meet beautiful things along the way and sometimes come across very ugly situations.
I remember vividly the first day I fell in love, unlike every other person who fell in love with people around them. I fell in love with the woman I mostly watched on the television screen. She was a musician who I believe has inspired and influenced many young people. The young people of this generation will continually look unto her as an Icon and a music legend. Her name is Celien Dion, I fell in love with not just her music but her personality, her eyes, nose, voice and everything.
I remember how I bought my first music player back then and how I would play her song from morning till night while meditating on her song lyrics.
Soon after I bought a big screen television which I continued using to play her songs. I even put some effort into buying some extra speakers which will help boost up the sound system. Watching Celien Dion's music videos was more than amazing to me. When I hadn't even known much about her, what I wondered was how could someone like Celien Dion be flawless in all. My thoughts were that when you talk about beauty, Celien Dion is beautiful. When you talk about talent she's purely gifted and when you talk about her voice, it was heavenly, these were my thoughts.
Later I started understanding that truly things fade, many talented people exist in this world and many more will still come and go.
In the past I never would have believed that a day would pass by without me listening to the sweet melodious voice of my first love whom I never had the chance to meet nor have her reply to my words.
There was a time when an unplanned calamity came and I didn't have any better option to sort myself out. The only option left was to sell my beautiful lovely television and my sound system. That brings me joy. Later, the same day I sold them, I remembered that I would no longer see my first love nor would I hear her voice very close to my ears as it was the way I love it. I have desperately sold what I have to solve my problems and really in those days, there was nothing like android phones which can be easily carried about with earphones. I remember having the feeling deep inside me that my beautiful thing has been taken away.
Indeed in life there are many things that we may wish to keep to ourselves because we love or maybe because they serve a beautiful purpose to us but sometimes we lose those things in an unplanned way.
Beautiful things can be felt too when one has newly entered into a relationship. Sometimes along the line when we become accustomed to the novelty which comes from our partners, things start getting boring especially when new efforts are not made to keep the flame burning. It's always very sad that most times we lose the person we love through break ups when we least expected it, even sometimes they leave us in the worst way possible which leaves a hole in our heart that always seems impossible to fill.
My prayer for everyone is that we will never lose the source of our joy and happiness but if we must lose anything, let it be things which present themselves as good to us today that may end up hurting our feelings in the future.
Tomorrow is Christmas and I'm already seriously preparing myself for tomorrow's enjoyment. One thing that I'm certain of by God's grace is that rice and stew will be plenty and Chicken as well. Above all things there is nothing so good as to celebrate another Christmas with every member of the family present. I really ask for God's guidance and protection to all those who will still have to travel to different places before and after this Christmas. We will surely excel in all our endeavors. Though we may enjoy it, we may also not be too carried away to do things that will end up hurting us. Though we may take wine, may we not take too much alcohol before entering the road. I will be really glad to know that we made it to 2025, a year that sounds unique which has a lot of untapped blessings.
Those who have little ones should also be mindful of their whereabouts, so that we wouldn't miss anyone as this year is almost at its end point. May no one tamper with our joy and happiness in Jesus Name I pray,

Celine Dion is an amazing artist. There was a time I was obsessed with her as well, I mean, who wouldn't be? The queen of music.
