Regardless of our endeavors in life we need faith, faith is what could hold one firm even in the time of turbulence. With faith even a terribly sick patient can do the impossible and with faith one can get healed. I remember the year 2020 during the time of COVID-19, I went to the hospital on my own for a medical check up because I was having difficulty in breathing which has lasted for more than one week, I was very certain it wasn't covid-19 because I knew that it wouldn't give me that much time if that is the case but then I had to put into consideration the fact that I live in the region of hot climate. Many thoughts were actually coming to my mind because I knew I had been to public places even before COVID-19 patients were discovered in my country. After I tried taking different herbs and medications from pharmacy stores yet no way. Somehow I started wondering if I had covid though I had stayed alive more than the maximum time it permits then, a thought in my heart tells me it could be because I live in the region of higher temperature maybe that's why it wasn't acting fast with me.

A lot of mixed thoughts in combination with the restlessness that comes with the kind of difficulty I feel when breathing made me take the bold step of going to the hospital. Before then, one of the reasons that kept me from going to hospital was because I said to myself what if it's not covid and If i go to the hospital I might possibly come in contact with some covid patients who may not have known they have it but just came for check up and contact it.
Finally when I entered the doctors office, the doctor checked my blood pressure and expressed shock. He called the nurse closest to him to bring him another different equipment and the nurse did. He checked my blood pressure again and expressed surprise. I heard him say it's not possible and demanded for some drugs to be given to me immediately. Later when I asked him what the problem was, he said that my blood pressure was very low and at that level that it is not possible that I would be able to walk.
He asked me if I could be with anyone, I said no I told him I came alone. He then told me to call my people and tell them that they will withhold me from going, they should
come and meet me in the hospital. That was how I ended up being admitted in the hospital and was made to rest on the hospital bed for the first time.
Where faith actually played its part was the moment I decided to go to the hospital. I know the distance I have to travel, I calculated the distance I'll have to walk on foot before getting a taxi and the distance it will take me before to cross over to another road section after I get dropped in order to get another transport. I figured out that everything that makes up a man is precious, the breath we take, strength for action and everything because I was feeling fainting and always very careful while taking each step to make sure I'm not already in the mid air, halfway about to fall to the ground.
I knew I was completely exhausted but I developed my mind with a strong conviction that I will definitely get to the hospital on my own no matter what and I did.
Faith can help us survive through terrible attacks. I know of a woman who fainted in a vehicle. Immediately after break failure was announced by the driver on the highway. The good thing was that no accidents occurred but the woman who had fainted now needed to be woken up. I now thought to myself, if that woman can faint when there is no collision and impact then how much more what would be of her case if there was a fatal accident. Somehow I began to understand that people die before they die.
Faith is a great asset, even I discovered in the bible that the majority of the people whom Jesus prayed for as it is written in the bible, he first of all asks “do you believe? “.
I know this year may not have started well for many of us but definitely this year we will advance to greater heights. This is faith. Thanks for stopping by to read my post.
The first question is indeed: "Do you believe" ... for where there is no faith, we have to place all hope in ourselves, and that is a recipe for failure ... but when faith is placed in One with the power and love to do all things for our good, then we do not die before we die, but live and walk ... by faith.
But remember, it is also written: "Now faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." The more we know Who we have faith in, and for what things He is willing to do (A LOT!), the more faith we can have. The same goes for really getting to know people before trusting them ... listen carefully, and watch their behavior!
You're right, I'm glad to know you read my post. Are you a Christian that is deeply rooted in God's Word?
I am indeed.
