Today I woke up to a beautiful Christmas song which seems to be played seasonally most especially during Christmas time. While still on my bed I was perceiving such a sweet aroma which is quite different from other days. Deep down my heart a different kind of joy was growing inside me and immediately it struck my mind that today is Christmas, the day I had so much awaited for. As if to confirm it, I picked up my phone and checked for the date, when I saw the boldly written 25th December on my phone screen my heart leaped for joy. I dropped my phone face down on my bed, deep inside my heart I know today may be like every other day if I do the usual things that I do everyday but since it is a day to remember a God who took flesh and walked on the earth in the nature of man, I know the best thing I could do for myself to start the day was to thank God for life.
Yesterday when I entered Facebook, I saw a lot of posts that can easily discourage someone. I even saw someone that appears to be mocking those who are not financially fit to provide themselves with what they desire to eat during this Christmas. On my own part, I know that there are three basic needs of a man and as I sat down on my bed. I thought about those three basic needs. I know if I'm lacking any one of them and I also tried to reflect back in time to know if I had in any way lacked any of them but I found out I've never lacked any one of them. The first basic need of man I considered was food and I found out that since January to December, God has been really faithful to me and my family, even in those days when it will seem as though there is no hope for any food, even before noon there will be resources to make the food available. When it comes to clothing, I looked at myself, even though there were times I removed some of my clothes from my wardrobe and gave out, even though there were also times I discarded some, yet I have never lacked any cloth to cover my nakedness.
As it concerns shelter, in God's faithfulness I have my own house and everything I need in my house is present even those I can't boast of being super rich and God has blessed me with a beautiful family even though sometimes there may be ups and down but in the midst of all these problems, when I call on God he always answers my prayers and I figured out that God doesn't necessarily appears to people to perform any miracle but he most of the time works through a person. In many ways I have received favor from someone most especially in my time of need from those I know and from some who I don't know.
I found out in life, it is not only by working hard that one can finally boast of being established. There are people who have divine backups that no matter how the economy is, they will still be living their lives in a balanced way and there are some who even though people may fight them, they will keep excelling.

There are some who don't even know what a bag of rice costs in the market because they have been placed in a position where they receive endless gifts and resources more than they desire. Think about the politicians in your country, the customs officers and some others. Many of them were placed in good positions by God but most of them choose to oppress others with their position of power.
From my observation, most people who work so hard don't always eat or gain wages that are equal to their efforts. I have also thought of those who talk of working smart. To not work too hard but working in a smart way comes through knowledge and true knowledge is divine and it comes from God.
Most of my time today was spent in prayers because I went to church but I never spared my rice and chicken when I came back, I spent quality time with my loved ones which includes my family and friends. Lastly tonight my mouth is filled with songs of praises.

God's goodness is just more than enough to survive, and trust me when I say it's all we need in a rapidly evolving world like ours.

Honestly you're right, more than 85% if thise whi celebrate Christmas dont even understand what they are doing. Some in clubs and on top of women,which directly or indirectly making mockery of purpose of Christ's birth.
