The Impacts Of Music On Us.

The impact of music on people or we listeners cannot be underrated. Sometimes, the majority of us think we just get along with some attitudes but after our observations, we learnt those things from the songs we listen to.

Music promotes unity

I remember clearly when I was much younger and I listened to Waka Waka by Shakira. This song was performed at the Fifa world cup fifteen years ago. You need to see how people were jumping up and happy. Even though they all knew that there was a football match which will happen after the performance of the song, all the people still sang together, hugged each other because a moment like that is what the workd needs everyday.

This is one of the most beautiful songs which has helped unite not just Africa but the world entirely. So, music gives us this kind of social bonding.

We act the songs we listen to

I was online on Instagram one day and I was watching a video of a kid who was singing Cardi B’s lyrics off her head. It’s beautiful that we have kids in the world who can relate to music but the kid was literally acting like Cardi B.

Just take a look at this video. The kid was acting like the artistes here. I think parents should even try to stop their kids from watching some particular music videos and listening to some particular songs because these kids are very quick to learn things they see on their television screen.

Even we adults are sometimes tempted to see those acts that are being potrayed by artistes in the television screen. Don’t you think that has a big impact on us and how we think? Don’t you think this needs to be really talked about?

We act out the lyrics

I think you must have done it before. Let’s take Mask off by future as an example. There was a part of the song where he mentioned *Pink Molly (molly), I can barely move.
You all need to know what molly itself means.

Do you know that sometimes, when we hear what an artiste has said in a song, we try it out to see how that will make us feel especially when that song is our favorite song and we are very familiar with the lyrics.

All these songs have a huge impact on us, the things we do and the things that we say. So, we have to be selective. I know you’re an adult and I can’t choose for you but some songs are now full of negative vices which I would not like us to participate in as reputable beings in the society.

A song like I’m alive can influence me to be a happy person for the whole day. Also, the song we listen to first in the morning tells what our day may look like.

Choose good music and maje sure that it influences you positively.
