RE: Mother's Sacrifice

It is quite sad in your society this seems to be the case.
Fortunately, in other societies men and women, as well as husbands and wives, treat each other much more equally. Though with being equal also comes with its downsides. For instance in Sweden for decades mothers (have to) work 5 days per week, like fathers. Children are mostly parented by the state. In my country, mothers are equal to father as well, though we are a bit more free as a society to Sweden, I think. The result is that most mothers work 2 or 3 days a week, although they are encouraged to work 5 days. fathers usually work 5 or 4 days, with at least 1 day at home. Mother as well, 1 day at home. Then 2 or 3 days daycare. Jobs at home, more or less equally shared between father and mother. This wasnt always the case. One need to fight for it. This all happened in these part of the world in the late 60s, 70s and beyond.

Wow... Its really awesome to know how things work in your area. I've seen families here too were everything is shared accordiny and is balanced.
