In your eyes anymore...

Running around feelings and sensations generated by the tunes we go listening to, being our choices by willingly selection or just a result of a coincidence that in the end leads us to willingly selection or rejection as well,is just amazing.

Can't remember anything that generated so many things in my in so a continuous and repeatedly way as music does.

I've never closed the door to new music or remained attached the the one I already like, no matter how much I like it, there's always room for more and more...and more, I'll never get enough of it. That emotion I experience when I hear a good song for the first time, no matter the genre, as long as it's good, deep and dared, carrier of a message...that experience is incomparable.

So, I'm always looking for a new one to amaze me and it always shows up.

Messages.

There isn't always joy or happines in a good song, there is always a message though, even bad songs are messages carrier, for me those are clear...

...STAY AWAY.

The beautiful thing about the content of the messages is that not always get to the listener in the same way, I mean it does get there through the same way but everyone's free to decode the message as it suits to one at the moment it's recieved.

Cause each author creates the lyrics of their song from a very personal experience or feeling that they express and share, with a bit of encryption that keep safe the true meaning it has for them, but that can be interpreted by the listener in different ways according to that person's perception and the personal setting to which they transfer the song when making it their own personal experience suit.

No bravery.

I came across this song in one of those searches I mentioned above. At that time, a song by its author, James Blunt, entitled "Your beautiful" was very popular. Normally here, when a song is popular, it tends to be burned from being played indiscriminately, as if no other songs existed.I usually don't go after everyone's preferred hits, I mostly don't tend to share their mass likes, but can recognize when there's potential to find some songs I could add to my preference playlist and that's what I track down.

That's how I got to it, but, even being the 10th song of Blunt's debut album, that song wasn't the first to hit me and get to my ears and heart.

At that time I didn't had the required internet access to search and download what I liked so, a couple of years ago I could lay hands in a considerable amount of songs of this man, in which I found "Monsters" the first one that got through my heart like an arrow, maybe because somehow I felt identified with it and also I found it beautiful and meaningful. But already made a post somewhere else out of it.

Then, recently, in a search through my mobile audio files for a meaningful song to sing in a competition in which I dare to participate without being a musician(I know somewhere inside me there has to be a prisoner musician but he can't come out himself and I can't get him out myself either.) I found it.

It happens that I got to the James Blunt folder and decided to fully play it, I never do that,I prefer variety, when this tune's turn was I realized I hadn't paid the proper attention to it before, cause this time I found it strongly and deeply beautiful as sad and carrier of a message, a message of war effects.

I knew it even before I looked for the video that I will share down at the end and that I've just seen now for the first time. I've been listening to the song many times repeatedly this week and I like it so much, it crushes my heart but I still find it beautiful.

Fortunately I haven't had to live war, but I know it for references, lots of references, guess we all know, all who have that fortune(of not having to live it), those who doesn't know it better unfortunately and it's all very sad and I can't help wondering myself everytime it crosses my mind...WHY?

Is it so hard to remain peacefully in our own business? Is it that hard being truly human and acting in consequence? What the hell is your minds war promoters "subjects"?

Anyway, hundred of questions could bump around this and nobody is there to answer.

But music is there to express, to carrie, to show, to transmit, to lead to reflections, to move...

I hope you get moved by this one as I am, and also hope you like it.

I'll drop the lyrics down here as well for you to read and sing as you listen to this moving a beautiful song.👇

No Bravery(James Blunt)
Lyrics

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He has been here

Brothers lie in shallow graves
Fathers lost without a trace
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he's been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore
Only sadness(2x)

Houses burnt beyond repair
The smell of death is in the air
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here
Tracer lighting up the sky
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore
Only sadness.(2x)

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here
Old men kneel to accept their fate
Wives and daughters cut and raped
A generation drenched in hate says
he has been here

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore
Only sadness (2x)

UNTIL NEXT TIME
