Today we culminate a very interesting week in our group, and the best part is that it begins a well-deserved vacation week, seven days where we will be away from rehearsals and stages, but we need to continue giving 100% of our talent in the future. We are doing many things right now, we just had our sacred concert a few days ago, but we have not stopped rehearsing Verdi's powerful Requiem and together we sang Mozart and Brazilian music with the man in the blue chemise in the first picture, Maestro Bruno Procopio who comes from Brazil and with whom we had a successful concert a couple of hours ago.
Hoy culminamos una semana muy interesante en nuestra agrupación, y la mejor parte es que comienza una merecida semana de vacaciones, siete días donde estaremos alejados de los ensayos y los escenarios, pero que necesitamos para seguir dando el 100% de nuestro talento en el futuro. Estamos haciendo muchas cosas justo ahora, acabamos de tener nuestro concierto sacro hace unos días, pero no hemos dejado de ensayar el poderoso Réquiem de Verdi y en conjunto cantamos Mozart y música brasilera con el hombre de chemise azul de la primera fotografía, el Maestro Bruno Procopio que viene desde Brasil y con quien tuvimos un concierto exitoso hace un par de horas.
I am very tired right now, my concert shoes are not helping me lately, but I feel very satisfied. The music we made was beautiful, and singing in other languages is always a challenge. I thought Portuguese would be very complicated and that the day of the concert would come and I wouldn't master the songs, but now I can't stop repeating the phrases. I know I will miss the rehearsals, but I have understood that rest is very important to keep things going well, especially for our voices, which is in a special moment, Mozart fits me very well, but now the Monday after the week we will face Verdi again, so we have to recover with strength.
Estoy muy cansado justo ahora, mis zapatos de concierto últimamente no me ayudan, pero me siento muy satisfecho. La música que hicimos fue hermosa, y cantar en otros idiomas siempre es un reto. Pensé que el portugués sería muy complicado y que llegaría el día del concierto y no dominaría las canciones, pero ahora no puedo dejar de repetir las frases. Sé que extrañaré los ensayos, pero he entendido que el descanso es muy importante para que las cosas sigan bien, especialmente para nuestras voces, la cual se encuentra en un momento especial, Mozart me queda muy bien, pero ahora el Lunes después de semana volveremos a enfrentarnos a Verdi, así que hay que reponernos con fuerza.
This week it was hard to start, the group was very tired and the first day I didn't feel a real connection with the guest conductor, but each day that passed the power of the music was doing its job. Our concert went well, it was free and it was a full house, I think there were a lot of people from Brazil, the man seems to have a certain fame. It is not the first time he has worked with our orchestra, but it is the first time he has worked with the national choir. We can feel gratitude from both sides, we will probably continue to do Brazilian repertoire in the future... When I have more photos and videos of the concert I will share them here on Hive 😉
A esta semana le costó arrancar, la agrupación estaba muy cansada y el primer día no sentí una conexión real con el director invitado, pero cada día que pasaba el poder de la música fue haciendo su trabajo. Nuestro concierto salió bien, era gratis y fue a sala llena, creo que había mucha gente de Brasil, el hombre parece tener cierta fama. No es la primera vez que trabaja con nuestra orquesta, pero sí la primera vez en trabajar con la coral nacional. Se nota gratitud de parte y parte, posiblemente seguiremos haciendo repertorio brasileño en el futuro... Cuando tenga más fotos y videos del concierto lo compartiré aquí en Hive 😉
You can tell it's your vocation, if there wasn't that love for music you couldn't have done it, a hard week but now a well deserved rest, enjoy and think of yourself!

Jajajaja, gracias amiga!. De hecho ayer fui a ver un coro en un museo sacro cercano y habían varios de mis compañeros cantando ahí. Me hizo pensar que nosotros no tuvimos conciertos de Semana Santa, y eso es raro, de hecho el año pasado cantamos en varias iglesias de España esos días... En fin, feliz día pequeño Buhito!!!
