Seems that I don't have to arrange the things in my life any longer. As they, the life stuff, have their own minds. Maybe it is just my impression, but you will see right now what I am talking about.
Just around a week ago, I set myself a challenge, that one with the deadline at the end of the year. {About my progress in that field, I feel I have to inform you in a separate post, about how I am doing and what I was able to achieve in one week. Though I do have to mention that I am studying at the moment, with consistency}.
So, it happened yesterday that my left elbow had a close encounter with the sliding kitchen door. It was not on my wishlist or plans, I didn't want that to happen. You see now, these unexpected and unwanted life things come when they desire it. They listen to their own minds hahaha. It was painful. I felt dizzy and had to sit and wait to get better. The bad moments passed, I felt ok to continue with my daily tasks, and shopping was there also. By the time of packing the items in the shopping bags, I felt less power in my left arm and general pain through the whole forearm, down to the wrist, which started to hurt more than the elbow.
My daily routine had to be interrupted. Piano - it was not possible to do my study session yesterday. I took a painkiller to be able to hold my arm and wrist without a lot of complaining. And I had to go to work too. I am better today, but I still feel the painful wrist a bit so I took a day of pause from Rachmaninoff. The things (even a painful one) arranged for me time for a new activity - chill out and finish the reading of a book I started so many months ago. I let it aside, twice. Last week I get to read it again and I am only two chapters away from the end. Finally, I can finish it. And I am doing it right now (well, in between I am writing these lines too, haha, never enough just one activity lol) accompanied by some beautiful sounds coming from Hania Rani, an artist I already brought once to Hive in a post with a different track.
Btw, did you notice these two nice photos of books? In my opinion, they are cool and can add to my story with their presence. I didn't take these photos though. I am using them in my post from stock images community, more precisely the author of them is @rima11 who let us these shots for free in this post. Have you heard about this option and about this community? Where users can submit their photos and let other members of the platform use them, exclusively for hive posts? The authors can set their own requirements on how to use the photos and if they are free for use or not. Giving credits is of course recommended (well, I would say mandatory). It is a wonderful opportunity, why not use photos from hive users who offer them instead of other free stock photo sites when you need a specific shot? There is an alphabetical main index of the submitted works that are offered for hivers. You can browse there for a topic you are interested in (if you are :)) ).
Back to my book, reading and the music I am listening to. It is an album by Hania Rani. In case you want to listen to the same music I am doing right now, press the play button of the video, or if you prefer listening to it through Spotify, be kind to click here for the full album.
This album of Hania consists just of instrumental tracks (with some vocalizations in the third and seventh track), composed for some documentaries, films and theatre. Listening to the first track, Prayer, I have the feeling that the music is coming from another world or dimension. She doesn't use the piano in it just some electronic harmonic sounds. I could not describe it better, as I am not sure how she obtained those sounds. The second track, titled In Between is already played by the instrument so well known by me. It is combined with those harmonies again, but I clearly hear the piano in the first place.
As the album is progressing, it is getting more and more interesting. Some of my favourite ones are those from the middle until the end of the album, hearing deep strings (violins and cellos) - like in the tracks Wildfires and Ghosts. Soleil Pale is maybe my definite favourite, both the music and video. I say maybe, as the "competition" is strong, all the songs are so honest and sensual. So close to my heart already.
As the book I will finish in two chapters is close to me too. Somehow I know I will miss it when I reach the last page. Not everyone would like to read this serial killer stuff... but it is his final cut, as the title says. {I don't want it to be the final one}. Ok, I can read it again if the life thingies decide to surprise me many times with their own plans and give me arm ache and force me to chill out and read & listen to some beautiful sounds that can caress my soul.
In case anyone opens the album and listens to the tracks... Did these tracks say you something? Did they inspire you? Would you do the same in case you are self-forced to take a break, read and enjoy music? Maybe there is some other activity you like to do when you feel some pain, physical or from other nature? I mean, it is also a surprise for me that I force myself to chill out and not push myself into some new work. If you like, you can share with us your experience on this topic.
First of all let me say sorry for the close encounter your elbow had with the kitchen slid... Its never anyone's to have that kind of experience.. Smiling
Let me move straight to music you were listening to yesterday... I am in the studio presently listening to this track. Its such an atmospheric change to me... I Felt ease.
It works for me right now as i am typing this. Thanks for this inspiration. @mipiano
Well, that encounter maybe had to happen, couldn't stop them 🤣
Yay, I am glad this music had some good effects on you 🎶
Beautiful tracks, I am just listening to this album.
As you say, like from another world.
I am more than glad you too find these tracks beautiful 🎶🎶🎶
Pure sound enjoyment :)
Rhaa, I know that, more than just the elbow pain, the wrist thing, it hurts like hell ! I hope it you'll be good soon 🍀
But it's true it's always interesting and optimistic to seize even the bad or "less-good" occasions and to turn them in opportunities, profitable in a way ! Which book were you reading ? I assume it's finished now ^^
Thanks for sharing that album from that artist I didn't know yet, I will take the time to listen it... Also to remind me of this excellent community where I haven't hung out enough yet.
Courage for the elbow, I hope it won't be too long and that you will be able to return to Rachmaninoff soon 🤞
Thanks @anttn for your attention :)
Of course, we always should find opportunities in trouble, well at least seems that I am constantly doing it, maybe even if it happens unconsciously! But when I am conscious about it I call it transformation. Shape the situations always into better ones :))
Oh, the book. Have you watched the series Dexter? So, I bought a book some months ago, Dexter's Final Cut, from the writer Jeff Lindsay (the series is done upon his books) and didn't have time to read it. Now it is done :)))
I hope you will enjoy this beautiful music and yes, the stock images community would probably love your work :D Or when you are in need of some photos, you can have use of them :))
Thanks, the elbow and wrist are better, a lot better! Now it is Sunday morning and in just a few moments I am heading towards my Sunday morning gig. But I don't plat Rachmaninoff there hahaha, just softer music :)
The update on Rach will also come these days, how the first week went 😇
Have a great Sunday 😎
@mipiano Get well soon, I hope you don't have an invisible accident like this again, I'm happy that you feel better 🙏
Thank you @tuba777 ;)
I hope too that no more accidents will happen soon :D
And if yes, well, there are always alternative things I can do 😇
I hope that your arm is doing better and that you will be well soon.
@tipu curate
Upvoted 👌 (Mana: 25/55) Liquid rewards.
I will be :)
Soon and my piano will be played again. Well, to be honest, already tomorrow morning, as I will have to play at one gig, yes or yes :D
The break today helped.
Thank you for your comment and support 🙌
I hope your elbow is fine now?
Do you have videos uploaded on 3speak or YT of you playing piano? Wanna listen to it 😊
Yes, it is much better, thank you @jane1289
Many many videos where I play, better said played. But indeed, a few months passed from my last ones... they are somewhere, all in my blog, though as I say a few months passed.
Last week I was recording how I study, and I will publish it soon, but that will be indeed just a practising session, not the piece already well learned. :D
I'm looking forward to seeing it. 😊.. Playing piano, violin, and guitar is something I fantasized haha. But too hard to learn.
Oh elbow, I can feel that...
Seems its time to slow down, bummer is that usually happens when we outline certain goals.
Luckily you are one of those who always look on the bright side of the life.;)
Brz oporavak 🍀
Yay, you are alive 😍
I will be top again, in no time haha, though the Universe had to do something so I can just relax a bit lol
Hahaha, yep and this reminds me about that same named song 😂
Hvala 🤗
I'm alive, at least I think so.😂
Mercury retro is now, time to slow the things down and let them fall in the place, looks like you've taken a huge bite. 🤭
🤗
Hahaha, a huge bite 😂
Maybe I was hungry 🤣
Now lay back down and digest!:)
If you can find Comfrey gel, try applying it for a few days, it will ease your pain.
Sooo, how do you want to eat szilvás gombóc, with hurting elbow? Not possible 😂
I'm sorry to hear about the problem, but I hope some rest will work miracles and you get well soon.
Well, I am now in "couch + laptop" mode, and one plate of szilvás gombóc would perfectly match this situation :D
I hope your elbow is fine now.
Nice text divider btw. The MP text divider. First time I’ve seen you use it.
Lol some part of the song was a little scary considering I heard it at midnight. The part with the hums and soft sobs lol. But for the most part, it was relaxing.
It's better.
I have to play tomorrow anyway, the break from heavy studying today helped actually! Though I still feel it.
The text dividers... I use them in my every post :) Well, there are a few different ones, got them when asked someone to make them for me 😇
Hahah, good to know the different reactions that the songs made on people. You were scared? I hope you are not anymore :))
If yes, you can always call the person I sometimes mention, to calm you down 😋
I’m glad your elbow is better. It’ll be even more so by tomorrow and you’ll have no issues playing.
I mean, I wouldn’t say scared😌 Well maybe I was but just a little bit:)
Haha exam is done now so I’m spending as much time as I can with that person now. She’s a very busy person though, on another trip again. Will be back with me on Thursday:)
Oh, waiting until Thursday... I hope time will go quickly and that day arrives soon for you 😉
Surely will:)
Sa news about your hand. I wish you will be better sooner than later. Images are great, even though its not you who captured then, I enjoyed watching the original post a lot.
🙄 have a little consolative !PIZZA.... 🍕
Thanks for the consolation in form of pizza :)
Sooner than later! I feel the sooner will arrive soon 😃
Glad to hear that you feel better today @mipiano. Keep safe!
THank you, I am a lot better indeed :))
So sorry about your injured elbow mi, just take it easy.
LoL for some reason, the whole situation involving injury, Rachmaninoff, and piano, prompted me to remember this post I came across on reddit about a pianist who injured his finger just an hour prior to his performance.
And oh my, what a beautiful piece of music by Hani Rani. Pardon me, but did you say he/she is a hiver?
Regardless, it's beautiful a gorgeous piece! Perfect for relaxation, sleeping, or for a nice aesthetic animation/game.
That choir though... And when the synthpad hits in... Damn! Out of this world! A sound straight from another plane!
I just finished reading a post by @joanstewart. Some splendid pictures of nature in full bloom. At the end of the post she states that "Humans attempt to plan ahead, this does not always quite work out, much like every other living entity.
Those words ring so true and being able to deal with unexpected events puts out the fire of disappointment and worry.
Getting caught up with a book and changing one's headspace is a good way to go, especially if an injury keeps you from doing what was planned.
The Rachmaninoff piece you are looking to learn by the end of the year may have been put on hold, but you got it, girl.
Take care of that elbow/wrist thing you self-inflicted.😁
... and I just realized 6 days passed and I still couldn't get to see that post you mentioned. (in that moment wanted to see first the post you mention and then respond. well, life seems to show different plans... and this situation perfectly matches the phrase you quoted Humans attempt to plan ahead, this does not always quite work out...
Indeed.
The elbow/wrist pain is already gone, that's good. A bunch of other things that came into the schedule is not that good thing hahaha, but I will try to stay positive, there is still time until the end of the year :)) I did a small update, well, also a week already passed from then hahaha, but basically, I didn't move a lot from that point.
sorry for this super late reply...
No apology is ever needed. Now, if I expected you were just lying around eating Bon Bon's and watching TV, there would be HELL to pay. 😁
Happy to hear your arm is back to new.
Talk about time passing, a week has passed and I haven't seen the update I've been waiting for.
Have a great day!
Hahahah, indeed 🤣 I almost never watch the TV actually... though Bon Bons can come
😂
Ohh, I hope you'll get well soon. Some accidents are blessings in disguise. Now you have time to rest and stay a while reading a book.

Well, i find this track you put all over the post pretty good and relaxing. I truly like it.
It is so relaxing, indeed. 😀
A good reminder when I am in rushing mode to listen to it and relax 😇🎶🎶🎶
That is precisely the whole idea. Disconnect from every single issue in our everyday duties. Loved your post, my friend.
Thank you 😀🎶🎶
