The problem is that many of us remain comfortable watching from our rooms how the world moves forward (I do not know if it will be for better or for worse, this will be seen or is being seen), but the truth is that the world is not standing still and many of us are.
This is an issue, let's say ancestral, cavemen basically did what modern man does (live), however, no one stayed in that cave world, right? There is no place for them here. Think about that in art and music.
Of course, I for one don't judge anyone who wants to go live in a cave and do everything that cavemen did... of course, some ancestral practices I don't support (lol).

Owww it would be so cool when peeps decide to live the cave life. Perhaps some do? But yea, everything changes, and we just have to adjust to it. Sure, we can fight the changes, and to some degree, I favour those who do so, but we can't change the inevitable. We may be able to influence it a bit. Some events may change things dramatically when enough people want a change and start fighting for it. Like the French Revolution, for sure it changed something. But eventually not much changed. The latter is the inevitable I suppose. I still applaud the fact the revolutionists took matters into their own hands, fighting the status quo.
Anyways, music is the same indeed. When social media is the thing, use it. When wanting to stand out, and be noticed: Do whatever is needed to make this possible. When believe one shall earn more money? Be more popular? Adapt where it is needed to reach such goals.
