Hello everyone, I trust that you are doing very well and that your day went very well too.
I just thought that I should bring you this inspiration from a song titled "ORDINARY PEOPLE" by a Nigerian singer, Cobham Asuquo.
This song holds a lot of virtue in it and makes me feel that life is very simple and that life can be made very easy. If everyone in the world would live the way they ought to live, then life would be very ordinary and beautiful.
One of the verses in this song tells us that no ordinary person would do anything bad that looks extraordinary. An extraordinary thing could be bad or good. I think Cobhams actually focused on those bad ones. If we ordinarily did what we are supposed to do, then extraordinary things would happen to us.
The life we live becomes extraordinary when we do the ordinary and when we do what we are supposed to do. When you know that you are not supposed to speak to people anyhow, they would say that you are humble and being humble is what is expected of us. When you encourage people and speak kindly to them, they would say that you are kindhearted and this what is expected of us as humans.
You do not need to do too much; just live how you are supposed to live, and then you will be doing extraordinary things unknowingly.
So many people would say that they do not have what it takes to touch lives, but those small things you do, those things you do to people, those words you say to them, those times you are there for them, those times you just tell them that everything will be fine, can go a long way to make them feel okay and not give up, and so that can go a long way in making extraordinary things happen to people, and that can also make the world a better place to live in.
It is very sad to know that people make other people feel so bad with their actions and make life very hard for other people too. Why would a man maltreat his wife, why would a woman disrespect her husband, and why would children not obey their parents? All these things look very simple to do, but they are very hard for people who do not know that these things are just ordinary things to do. They look very simple; that is why people do want to do it. They believe buying gifts for the poor and beating their wives at home is better, while some believe giving to the orphans and not respecting their husbands is better, and some children feel topping their classes and not respecting their parents is better.
Small things actually move me; they make me feel safe and happy. I do not really believe in doing big things and neglecting the small gestures. Just be there for people and make sure that they feel very safe with you because that is the only way you can make this world a better place.
