As the year draws to a close with just nine days remaining, it's a time of mixed emotions for many; some have had a good ride, while others have experienced ups and downs. But regardless of how the year has been, it's a moment to thank the Lord and also the perfect time to sit down and run the whole year through your memory lane reflecting on how it went.
How was your year? What were the avoidable mistakes you made? What is the way forward to having a better 2025?
In the midst of these reflections, I found myself thinking about "Remember by NF"
Trap songs or Raps aren't really my best genre of musics, but there are a few of them that resonates deeply with me, and *Remember is one of them.
The song evokes the feeling of perseverance, self-reflection, persistence, emotional clarity and sense of understanding in the complexities of life.
While the flow and melody of Remember is quite good, what makes it exceptional for me is the lyrics and that is why I am recommending this song because it's what motivates me in it.
NF is an artist who I admire forhis relatability in his works.
Remember explored personal growth reminding us of how people change over time. The act of feeling stucked or living in regrets and self-doubts awaiting for people's validation in our own life do us no good at all. It's our life to live and we should make our decisions and live with it.. The line in the music that said,"I thought if I was famous, I'd be happy, but it’s false,” speaks volume of this external validation we often chase but in the end realising that true fulfilment comes from within.
The song's title, Remember encourages listeners to reflect on their past, both the good and the bad thinking about the moments that have shaped them, reminding you of how far you've come.
It's always all about learning from your past rather than living in regrets dwelling on your past.
Giving up has never been the solution to anything; perseverance, on the other end, has done a lot. Life is full of struggles but amidst those turbulence lies the opportunity to move forward and grow. Challenges are bond to come but with perseverance they become just a part of the success stories. NF gave this message providing a sense of hope and resilience.
Many lines resonate deep thoughts with me but this in particular one stood out, "Surround yourself with people that challenge how you think"
Everything in life is all about Mindset and mindset drifts always happen with the people you surround yourself with.
Having people of perseverance around you subconsciously imbibes in you the need to be resilience in whatever your life dreams are unlike people that give up on the slightest challenge.
Nothing good comes easy, they say, if you want something, you must go for it because if you don't, no one else will do that for you.
So, in these last few days of the year, take some time to retreat and reflect on how the year went. Draft plans for a better 2025 and with resilience, perseverance and dedication, you'll achieve almost if not all your dreams.
