While it was raining and windy in Gdansk and snowdrops started to appear in gardens, Malgosia went with her team for a few days to the Tatra Mountains. Our daughters enjoyed very good conditions on the ski slope, and Margaret with her boyfriend went through the Strazyska Valley to the Sarnia Rock.
When avalanche danger level 3 was declared, we were left with small peaks that can be appreciated more in winter.
Even in the valleys it is obligatory to wear spikes with chains or crampons ( cost 60 PLN). Thanks to them you can walk on the slippery surface without any problem. Unfortunately, some people still go on the winter trail unprepared.
On the way to Sarnia Rock you can see Giewont (in the picture).
At the entrance to the valley is on the street Strazyska paid parking, where you can leave your car. Prices of parking in Zakopane is 25-30 zl.
In the next post I will invite you to walk on Goose Neck through Rusinowa Polana.
