Thanks for the recommendation... Heard about Proton Mail before and I respect privacy-centered services~
Despite everything I like Google services. (I know the privacy risks of it but I still like it.) I was just answering why people who don't like it refuse to change.

besides protonmail, there is tutanota startmail fastmail hushmail lots of options, the giving a single euro for email is just making sure you do not get to be the product though.

Yeah. Paying for a mail is fair considering that free Email providers are profiting from you much more by selling your info.
Personally I stopped using Google services couple of years ago because of the lack of privacy and the find print where it says Google can use anything I have uploaded.
Moved to protomail and also tutanota.com, so far no complaints

I'd be interested in hearing more in-depth experiences regarding email privacy!
For instance, according to "The Privacy Guy" (Rob Braxman, see his channel on LBRY) who says he has set up and managed an email service provider some years ago, NO email service offers privacy for messages sent from one server (let's say a Protonmail one) to another (gmail, for example), because they're all based on the old - 1983, if I'm not wrong - email SMTP protocol, that forbids to encrypt the mail headers (title, date, expeditor,...) and in most cases even the text body.
Would you know where to find articles or threads about this topic?
