I don't remember where was that line said, but anyway, this is my favorite arc of the series, with Greed Island as the close second.

My favorite parts of Chimera Ants are all near the end of it. Gon's fate is both heartbreaking but makes the most sense for his character arc!

It's at the very end when the long-time exiled former leader of the Neo-Green Life Autonomous Region is sitting on the front porch of his ranch and contemplates life. It's just a minor addition showing that Togashi had a whole world and all its characters mapped out and then left the room to grow and leave a distinct print on the story. The intensity of creative immersion presented to the viewer is mindblowing, every so little side character is an individual with his own path. That is something that only Anime can deliver to this degree, credits to Madhouse for keeping the details alive.

While I don't think only anime can does this, I've seen it at its most powerful in effect and execution in anime. (Live-Action movies should be able to do the same depth in theory, but sadly, it'll cost a lot.)

I want to remember that scene... Which episode is it again?
