Nothing like a good December...?

Many people say that the best time of the year is December… Are they right, are they wrong, or are they not standing on solid ground? What do you think, dear reader?

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, full of children's excitement. It is also a time that gives way to consumerism and parasitic trade that undermines the earnings of workers during the year in question. But it is also a month of sadness for many people, even if the movies want to cover up the reality with a finger.

Christmas also brings out in many that spirit of sharing that is sometimes muted in the rest of the year… Christmas is not just about snow, trees, lights, nativity scenes or presents; Christmas is, in essence, *the birth of Jesus.

The North of our spaceship celebrates Christmas with low temperatures, if it happens, with snow, lots of sweets… Those who can, escape to the South, where Christmas is celebrated with high temperatures, beach, beer, daiquiri… Equatorial people celebrate it in between these two episodes of North and South, generally there is something for all tastes and flavours.

Most Christmas stories are snowy and full of Santa Claus or Papa Noel, whatever you want to call him. In other latitudes, they await the arrival of the Child Jesus; myth or not, children long for the arrival of 25 December in the hope of receiving the desired gift.

But adults look forward more to 31 December. Believe it or not, the end of the year is better celebrated for New Year, than the true essence of Christmas. And a smaller number wait for the 28th of December to have the perfect excuse to play a joke on their neighbours…

I, in particular, live the whole month of December and until the 14th of January in Christmas tune, I am not passionate about celebrating the end of the year or worrying about the fiscal closure or worrying about the taxes to be paid. I relive the classic Christmas movies and try to watch the more recent heartbreaks, listen to Christmas carols, share as much as possible with my family as I have done all year long.

This Christmas will be very special, Matthew will meet his paternal family in Venezuela. For 20 days I will be sharing with my siblings and nephews, and I will visit old friends, and maybe, visit some new ones I have met through hive like @irvinc, @tifanny, @lauril, among others. I will also visit, after twelve years, the loved ones who have already left the ship…

Virtual friends, live and enjoy yourselves to the fullest, doing good to others, without disturbing the environment. Love yourselves first, so that you can bring true love to your family, friends, and neighbours. Do not spare the time to have a good time, to enjoy good music, a moving film. Hug to be hugged and feel the warmth of others; to give a hug and wish blessings, you don't have to wait for 00:00 on 31 December.
