Only good thing in iOS devices is the length of software support. They use to get more years of updates than Androids do but then old Androids work long after the official support ends where iOS devices lose App Store when they get a few big updates behind.
I’d probably pick a Pixel and put LineageOS on it. It will lack many features from the OEM software and hardware support is slightly worse but it gets the latest patches and is more than enough stable for my daily use.
