Gaming has become a lot better. I have faced some issues with Wayland. It is not as smooth as Windows. Depending on the games you pick, Linux could be just fine. I mostly play @splinterlands and few other blockchain games. Bottles has been a great help to get Windows apps working: https://flathub.org/apps/com.usebottles.bottles
If you have an old computer that is used as a backup device, Using Linux is one of the best things you can do.
