Since Twitter can censor based on political bias, they should lose the protection that prevents them from responding in court to what people say on the platform.
If they did it in their own country, imagine what they can't do in other countries in the world.
Posted via D.BuzzLMAO. It sucks when I agree with Ted Cruz. Would of been funny if Jack told him, screw you Ted it's my platform I'll do what I want. #freedom I think eventually censorship will pave the way for platforms like dBuzz though. Such a complicated topic. Govt. Intervention vs freedom
From what I understand though, Prop 230 protects social media companies from lawsuits based on the content they host, since they are not the one's who create the content, they just offer a platform for it
I have a funny feeling we're going to see a full on assault of free speech both corporate & government enforced. It will probably bring a lot of people to blockchain platforms and decentralized services. It will be interesting to see how they try & control that.
watched quite a lot of this live on RT, Cruz demolished Jack, Jack seemed pretty lost throughout. Zuckerberg on the other hand Zuckerberg seemed a lot more professional, not saying he's any better but he presented himself better and more professionally.
I disagree with Ted Cruz on a few things, but he his right on point with this issue. Twitter is in over their head, and they're losing control of their own moderation methods.
well it's not gonna be easy for them to carry on with that sort of things going on.
in 2024, the president will probably be republican, we might see a Ronald Reagan style wave happening

Yeah, it is a complex subject.

If they choose the content X out 230

Good share... thank you... showing both the double standards and the obscene amount of power centralized mainstream media now holds.

Ted Cruz is such a wiener, but sometimes he makes a good point. Both of these dudes are wieners, actually. haha.
