It is above all that I believe in the development of a crypto site, and that it would piss me off enough for bot to kill this kind of project, even if I am not in the capacity to invest
Only solution would be implementing an actual reputation posting requirement, or censoring/banning them specifically from the platform, or an 'opt out' blacklist for DBuzz that'd interfere with them opting out themselves.
It unfortunately comes with the territory of censor free.
I think the best solution right now that does not promote centralized censorship is for the users to use their Downvote Power where appropriate (like for reward farming in this case). 🤔
Lol, I just imagined a 'suspected spam/farming' section of the website utilizing a list, then the community can go in, with the light being shined on them there, and downvote them.
While that is not censorship by itself, it encourages people to downvote everyone on the list. However, it is indeed not appropriate unless the list is 100% accurate. 🤔
Communication like that would def. need to be on-chain.
But I think a better response is transparent decentralized mutelists, followed by downvotes, and an announcement section on @dbuzz w/a free market of Mutelists
Anyway, if they continue, I will start downvoting them, along with a comment stating reasons why I made the downvotes (such as unoriginal content, lack of citations, misuse of tags, etc.). 🤨
"Farming" (more known as "reward farming") is the process of publishing low-effort posts (and sometimes comments) to gain unfair rewards. They may or may not be copy-pasted or plagiarized. 🤓😄
Some people have become very popular enough that people upvote their posts no matter how short. Anyway, the farming ring here on D.Buzz is not popular, so we can still tolerate them. 🙂
I honestly think that we should reserve downvoting for illegal material posting. What someone considers of value is very subjective and should be left to the market.
We have enough Downvoting Mana for illegal content (such as terrorism, child pornography, and blatant phishing scams), so we can still downvote less serious (but still unwanted) posts. 🤔
How do we get involved?

A good way to get involved is to create & manage your own:
@dbuzz is starting to create ours, and with community support, but we want a full range of Mutelists, from different people.

That was easy to follow! Thanks @ddrfr33k @chrisrice @steempower-001

Users following your decentralized blacklist does not prevent the farmers from still posting for unfair rewards. 🤨

Offering appeals should be fine. @Chrisrice would surely ensure appeals are done on the chain and not discord.

Definitely.

It will decrease the visibility of their rewards, on an opt-in basis.
Downvotes will fix the rest.

nice one! dont know if we can help but let us know!

Sorry for the ignorance, but, what is farming?

"Farming" (more known as "reward farming") is the process of publishing low-effort posts (and sometimes comments) to gain unfair rewards. They may or may not be copy-pasted or plagiarized. 🤓😄
But why would people highly reward low effort posts? Isn't the problem the people rewarding the low effort posts?

Downvoting is used for reward disagreement, and is part of the free market.
Censoring is never used on @dbuzz for speech (text), but is used against links to:
Blatant scams
Phishing
Child Porn
