I've been working on the web since 2012 and it seems crypto is attracting the same shady people internet was attracting back then. Same story different ecosystem.
But there are good people in crypto like us and all will adjust itself with time...

Yeah, I go back to the 1990s. During the dot-com boom, people were throwing money around left and right, funding the latest dot com business without a solid business model. There were scams, schemes, and silly ideas running rampant. After the bust, things evened out. The businesses that survived (Amazon, eBay, Yahoo!) went on to be stronger and better businesses. Of the failures, some of them drifted away (thank God!) and others came back with better business ideas that took off after the 2000 dot-com bust. That second wave of internet-business activity gave us Facebook, YouTube, and a slate of social media platforms.
Ultimately, this led to an overcentralized Web, which isn't a good thing. But I believe it was a necessary development to get us to Web3. While there are growing pains, I'm optimistic that the next phase of the internet is going to be the best yet. Hang on tight (especially to your wallet) and don't listen to the goobers.
