I have only recently realized that there are as many different flavors of autocracy as there are democracies. While they all share common elements and usually a common trajectory - when you dig into details of how they work, they are often surprisingly different.

For example, the mechanisms by which Russia works and maintains control are surprisingly different from how China does, and similarly different from how Iran does, etc.

That is true, and I think we could have a better system in Hive. But it is not ready for the world and the world is not yet ready for it.
The fight today is between autocracy and democracy, and it's autocracies like Russia which are really showing their weakness now.
