I like german cars (eg. Volkswagen) but I heard that in the US they break more easily because they assemble them for cheap in Mexico and furthermore maintenance and repairs are more expensive because:
Parts are more expensive (imported).
They are more difficult to unmount.
Mechanics are less familiar with them (only 5% of Americans use them) so they charge more for their labor due to the fact that they need to spend more time figuring out how to fix them.
At the end of the year and beginning of the new year salesman need to sell more to end/start the year strong so it may be a good idea to go in looking for used cars and you may get an offer to spend just a little more for a brand new car.
Always negotiate prices as much as you can. You can always leave and go somewhere else but they need their sales bad.
I think this is you for sure...

Pinto Wagon with the Bubble window in the back
It just screams "I AM A BALLER!!"

No clue, but it’s a sweet ride! Drop one of those VW Diesel engines in that bad boy and its game over.... 😉

Mercedes engines are generally good up to 500k miles before an overhaul.

I have never driven a Mercedes before.

I have only driven 2 bought at auction and they were really smooth with some decent acceleration.

Drive it until somebody pays you scrap value to tow it away I say!
I'm only planning to for another 50K miles to be honest.

If I were living in the states right now I would get a tank :)
I don't mind a cannon or two.

My wife and I love our 2014 Buick Lacrosse.
