... glad for it. Our rain barrels are nice and full. The garden is quite happy with the nourishing rain water which is much better than the well water. All in all a very good weather outcome for us.

You seem to love rain.

Our area has been in a rain deficit for several years. So rain is definitely something to celebrate.
Curious which area you are referring to?
Texas.
Now Texas reminds me not only of Ron Paul but of rain too.

We had rain all day yesterday and they say it will continue through today. It will get a lot of the allergens out of the air, which is good, but it is keeping the temperature rather cool (low 70s for a high), so I have to wear a sweater everywhere.
It was a nice quiet day on the roads yesterday afternoon when we ran errands. I know most people are at school and work then, but we always run errands during the day and traffic was rather light. Maybe they decided to try for a dry day.
We purposefully do things out in the world when the most folks are at work. Less traffic and less wait times.
Yes, that's why we run errands in the morning or afternoon, but still there is a lot of traffic. It just seemed so quiet that day when it was raining.
It's not rained properly in a while here. I have a new water butt to install, so I need to get that done before it does rain. It will be near our new beds so will be handy.
I'd never heard of the term "water butt" so I had to look it up.

In our area we call these rain barrels.
We are separated by a common language.
