Thank you. I saw someone's post on Pub0x about a #Zap #fiction writing competition on D Buzz & thought I'd give it a try. I'm not sure that micro-blogging is really the best platform/medium for me RE a short story, since I tend to write long form posts, but why not give it a go?
I'm Clara, a lighthouse keeper. I live a quiet, isolated life on the island where the lighthouse is. I like that nobody bothers me much. I work nights. I fish, eating much of what I catch. I can mend a boat and knot a rope. I keep ships and their crews safe. It's what I do.
Glad she doesn't feel alone. Despite being a loner myself, I believe we need human interaction, even in short infrequent bursts.
