it should be pretty easy to add the https://cast.garden embeds to d.buzz posts. just click on the share icon on any video/audio/livestream post on hive-tube sites like vigilante.tv, beetoons.tv, cast.garden, permalife.tv, etc and that embed code will work great and, help those Creators to get more exposure too :)

oh cool, I was asking myself the other day whether something like this exists. is there a way to schedule and for people to get reminders?
hey ash, yeah notifications are built-in already if u subscribe to someone's channel. podpings too.
scheduling however is on it's way, where if you are gonna "go live" at 4pm next tuesday, it posts a thumbnail and "set reminder" button, but i feel that feature is probably a couple months out yet. i still want to get livestream livechats and automated recurring tips built-in first though.
the ability to "set it and forget it" gives it that "grandma-friendly" thing i'm goin for.

I thought Twitter Spaces were good, what are their disadvantages?
Can the user of Cast.garden control the resolution of the video they receive in? One of the advantages of YouTube streaming as a user is that I can save my bandwidth by listening at 144p quality.

Centralization, censorship, data-harvesting, ads, walled garden, cross-device syndication... tons of disadvantages to twitter, yourtube, spotify, etc.

Yes, 100%.
I have the cast.garden site set to 1080, 720, 480, 240, and audio-only options for each post, depending on its media-type. If you really need 144, I can enable that too if there's enough demand for it.

240p is more than okay! I asked because many Web3 services don't offer that many options to the stream viewers, even Twitch doesn't give that to all channels. Glad Cast.garden has this feature.

I love D.buzz too, they're doing great work and could very well provide Twitter users with the escape plan they are seeking. 💪
Cast.Garden is a Hive-Tube based site like BeeToons.tv, Vigilante.tv, etc and focuses on helping Podcasters to quit their sole-reliance on old Web2 Podcast Hosts like Anchor, Megaphone, Google Podcasts and Spotify.
Who needs a pedoverse I mean fediverse whej we have the hive blockchain where things are actually open and transparent instead of on mastadon where I hear they hide a lot of illegal content lol unless hive is gona start using that buzz word now?

The Hive blockchain will not store audio or video files for you, so, if you want streaming content to get any reach (outside of the web2 walled gardens of course), you must federate the content using activitypub protocol.
