Hello foodies, this time I will share info on traditional Javanese food. This is "rujak" in English salad. "Rujak" there are two kinds, ripe fruits and vegetables.
The tool used to make this dish is a mortar. The steps are, first grind the fried peanuts to taste, add spices such as salt, onions, chilies, tamarind water, then mash until smooth. The second input of the main ingredients, cut into small pieces. Mix with peanut sauce then mix the spices. "Rujak" is ready to be served.
Usually added "mireng" and "ketupat" for "rujak" vegetables. "Mireng" comes from the word "fried noodles".
