Modern life:
People no longer enjoy having a pure conversation with someone without leading it to the bedroom talk so quickly? It will eventually happen when it comes to time anyway?
So why not select, collect the ingredients first, then cook the food decently before tasting it, instead just seeking fast food and the one-time experience then be gone and never have to think of it again?
We can have as much physical intimacy as we want, with as many people as we want. Then what?
Feeling a hole in this soul and heart at the end of the party; always feeling like lacking something or searching for something else constantly...
All we want is eventually intimacy. Intimacy from little simple things, intimacy with someone who naturally turns this chaotic life into a "home" for us to come back
Freedom in modern life gives us infinite options, makes things easy, and flexible, and yet makes things so superficial and temporary
Is this freedom in modern life our strength or our weakness?
This body will eventually turn into dust
This soft and sweet-smelling skin going to turn rough with wrinkles
The pretty eyes gonna be blurry. Then everyone gonna look the same
The long hair going to turn gray and fall all off
The hands gonna be shaking playing those guitar strings
Everyone is visual 🔥 Of course. That's good
It's so easy to entertain. It's easy to come. Then it's easy to go.
What can be remained years later is only respect, authentic conversations, genuine smiles, silly laughter, memories, and stories of how wild, passionate, and brave we were in our 20s and 30s learning things, fixing things, building things, putting things back together when they fall apart, loving, giving, going for what our hearts truly want, connecting, protecting, telling people how we feel for them freely.
Why not now make more of what can remain so later on not laying in the hospital in our 80s asking ourselves "what the heck did I spend my youth for?" 😊
