Interesting! Two strikes against them, though:

  1. It appears they are based in San Francisco
  2. “Web browsers require an add-on to resolve these domain names”. This seems like another opportunity for browser-makers to censor.

Doesn’t Tor have something similar?

I believe Opera supports them natively. Yeah, Tor has the .onion domains.
