Actually, the man may be right. Because HBD stabilization and TerraLuna are the same system.
And because of this, Hive and HBD price are very vulnerable to dump attacks from outside. So a few big whales can push the Hive price wherever they want...

But I guess, it is yet to be proven. So far, nobody is attempting to have a 51% attack on Hive, or atleast push the price to a death spiral cycle.
Yes, prices can be manipulated to some extent, from what I observe, sudden spikes or dumps are stabilized within 1-3 days as community members/traders do their leveraging.
Hive economic dynamics is complicated, too many moving parts.
Yes, because no one has ever done such a dump attack. On the contrary, pump attacks were made several times. And apart from that, the Hive price has always remained low... This means that these communities we believe in need to develop themselves much, much more.

If somebody will take control of the network, the attack needs to buy all the liquid Hive in the market making everybody rich overnight but even that will not be enough because fresh Hive power cannot influence the witnesses until after 30days, right?
The community have HF already in the first few days.
No, this is not actually taking control of the network. Simply put, if a few whales consider buying or selling Hive, then things change. For example, someone who has millions of Hives wants to sell them all or a leveraged transaction. 😀

Dumping tokens to put the price near worthless or to put it on death spiral🤔
Well we can buy the cheapest Hive that we can bought, and be the next whale!
In such a situation, we will not be the next whale. 🤷♂️
