This is an effort to build the NEED FOR SPEED community and to onboard an entire community of SIM racing drivers. We are showing Ecency /Hive Prom ads 4 times during each of their live race broadcasts. I'm sure these downvotes only prove to new members what an unfriendly place Hive is

How would you explain your reason for this downvote to newly on boarded members @acidyo?
I don't see any newly onboarded members receiving the overrewards?
This is a post/contest for a new community we are trying to build for the Sim Racers Edge community that we are onboarding. I'm struggling to explain your down vote to them.
Tell them some whales on Hive throw votes randomly at whatever is trending so the downvotes help distribute stake better to everyone else. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to check what else ocdb downvoted lately and the similarity of the posts.
Because they have never seen an upvote from you, they are calling you 'the downvoter'. 😉
I appreciate your work and you are getting good rewards as well, that's nice to see.
If you create overhyped posts, you might also get some downvotes, no reason to suspect ill intention. HIVE whales try to even out the distribution of rewards and while it sometimes seems strange - overall it works very well so far. The number of accounts in the Mid-Range of Hive-Power is growing substantially and the conversation about Up- and Downvotes is a constant center of attention, as it should be.
But then again, what do I know? Nothing :)
There's no good solution for the task at hand and be assured, there are attempts to attack the distribution system professionally. You can watch this YT Video on How-To attack STEEM for example, which of course also works for HIVE as well.
