Balance is always important in all things.
I feel good about it and think I will do well being an invested player.
I just hope it does not too far the other way and make Splinterlands look like a pay to win game.
I guess we will just have to see how it plays out.

I think tools like NFTyArcade's ability to rent full decks for no cost other than sharing rewards helps with that a great deal. Pay to Earn is different than Pay to Win - I think the key will be figuring out the onboarding to all the different options for folks.

Maybe a in game tutorial would help. It could point out the options you have available to get the best start in the game.
Player Tutorial's are good but for those not native to hive. I would think they just want to play and see if the game is worth playing.

Yeah - I think the onboarding process overall is part of what needs work and will help with it. The good news is I know it's on the SL team radar already - it just takes time to build it out.
