However, there's a crucial aspect of this discussion that often remains unexplored.
What happens when a whistleblower, viewed as a hero, uncovers grave violations against our Constitution and the American populace, implicating those in the highest echelons of power? In such scenarios, it could be argued that these high-ranking officials, in betraying the public trust and committing these crimes, are the true domestic terrorists and traitors. And if we follow the line of reasoning of those who call for the execution of traitorous whistleblowers, it stands to reason that these officials could also face a similar fate.
However, this perspective is seldom voiced in public conversations. Is it because we are uncomfortable with the implication of sentencing our highest elected officials to death?
