To be fair, I wouldn't expect otherwise.
There are too many criminals in the world for a community to take the risk & trust a worldwide Digital ID, especially considering many nations are enemies & will play against each other. A controllable citizen ID is too powerful to miss on

Hmmm makes a lot of sense for stealing votes. 🤷♀️

How exactly would they steal votes?

This is useless because when they enter data into the system, they steal votes.

I don't think you understand the technology. The beauty of blockchain being done on a public ledger in a decentralized manner is that everyone can see every vote, but only each voter is able to identify their vote on the chain.
How could stealing votes with this tech be possible?

Here is a non-blockchain version of the same thing being done. Everyone can watch and look at the votes at the ballot box as much as they want.
But when these pys are brought to the centers in sacks, the votes are written in Excell tables as they wish.
In other words, the situation is so dire that even blockchain cannot save us. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Yeah, not the same technology, one can easily be manipulated and the other can't. One is decentralized and the other is centralized, it's like comparing apples to oil, they are completely different.
